Realizm, please tell me what Pav makes the better fighter. He throws lots of powerful combos, has a good jab, true, but what else?

Maybe your not much on boxing history.....theres this fighter named Bronco McKart that fights VERY similar to AA(he also fought Winky Wright 3 times) McKart was KOd for the first time in 54 fights....again it's been there done that for Pavlik:deal

Alot of "weekend hypebuyers" on here :-(

And the ******-in-chief is four posts above you.

I believe Kelly can take tis over 12 rounds, but it's equally likely he gets carried out before that.

All they talk about is wide looping shots, oblivious to the fact that those were only used after a beautiful short sharp punch put the panther on ***** st.

They've never seen AA figh before last week and they're suddenly experts in his deficiencies.

    A couple of thoughts:

    1. I think we can all agree Kelly Pavlik generally displays better punching technique and a more conventional defense.

    2. Still, Abraham has power in both hands, especially the right. I remember when Jermain Taylor had Pavlik in all sorts of trouble in their first fight, second round.

    3. Abraham, at least as far as I know, has not been knocked down (am I right?:huh ). Kelly Pavlik has.

    4. Both guys are tough, entertaining, and generate publicity. Them fighting would be truly a Middleweight SUPERFIGHT worth watching.

    5. How do you think Arthur Abraham would do against ... GARY LOCKETT!!!!

Well you've outlined a few important qualities that AA doesnt have but Kelly has a much better defense than people give him credit for its merely based on movement instead of a tourouise guard both are equally as effective depending on the fighter.....but once again Pavlik has dealt with this defense and style time and time again and he breaks the defense and eventually crushes his opponent, so he knows what he's getting into and as I predict AA will fall from a body shot, due to the superhigh gaurd of AA, it's really not rocket science just simple observations of watching both fighters back to back these past few days.

    Cheers:good

Have fun with that idea:lol: Theres no need to hype the unified Middleweight Champion..one elementary reason is that he beat 3 good fighters last year and later beat the former champ again...there is no hype for kelly....how could our supposed hype surpass what has already been accomplished?? It would be pointless

    I'll wait

I'm hearing comparisons between Arthur Abraham and Bronko McKart ... I don't think Abraham is ANYTHING like McKart.

I think Abraham is stronger, faster, and a better puncher. McKart's only quality that kept him in contention back in the day was his workrate and decent skill. But I just don't see how won would compare the two.

Also, Pavlik stopped a shot version of McKart. I know, he was never stopped previously, so Pavlik deserves some credit. Yes. But still, Abraham is not really comparable to a shot version of McKart, IMO.

Don't expect responses from Realizm on posts he can't handle. (See posts #29 and #34)

And when he does get caught on a point of fact, he answers with: That was just a coincidence.(see post #49)

Well, I think Lockett would see the 7th and the fight would look a bit more competitive (since Pavlik-Lockett wasn't competitive at all). Pavlik had the perfect stlye to walk through Gary, it was a great performance I'd give it a grade A.

Abraham, usually a slow starter, would only have success in landing a couple of power shots in the first 2-3 rounds while blocking almost everything. Then trainer Ulli Wegner would start the usual shouting that 'work more Arthur', so after a few rounds Abraham would finally start throwing (and landing) and would finish him between the 5th and the 8th depending on how interested he is knocking out a C level fighter. Grade C+, but a KOTY candidate.

Then the idiots would use this fight as an argument for Pavlik-Abraham the same way they used the "for Christ's sake, he went 11,5 rounds with Ayala" argument stating "Edison Miranda will knock the guy went 11,5 rounds with Ayala the flying f*ck out."

Why don't you just wait for the fight.

Then you can either crow (If it goes as you predicted), or EAT crow, (If you were out to lunch).

    Third option.

You could disappear and resurface with a new username.

(Option 3 was taken by a fair few fools after Calzaghe-Hopkins, and a fair few more are MIA since Saturday night.)
