Pavlik haters comin out the word work in full force. I'll keep it short and sweet: **** all Ya'll.:deal BTW, from what I've seen mostly in this thread, it's not Taylor fans spewing bull****, it's those Calzaghe elitist pricks who can not possibly sleep at night knowing there's is not one, but two (Pav and Taylor) elite AMERICAN MW's getting deserved attention.
The Only guy left for Pavlik at 160 is Abraham. Any thoughts on that match-up: will it happen, how will it play out, where will it be fought?
You can keep talking about how Pavlik is limited and everyone quality will beat him. Good luck scrambling for excuses and reasoning about how limited and unadabtible he is as he beats quality opponent after opponent. Remember, Pavlik is only 25 years old. You look at a guy like Calzaghe who says that Calzaghe now whips the Calzaghe from 10 years ago. He obviously believes he has improved tremendously. Pavlik is a young fighter who does have a lot to learn, but he listens to his trainers and will improve. You need to face the facts, he is middleweight champ and beat a fighter in Taylor who IMO fought the best fight he was capable of in the rematch. He has 2 wins over Taylor and a win over Miranda. Give him some credit!
This is ridiculous how much **** Pavlik gets for ONLY dominating the division so far. Some people are just ******ed and need to go find a new sport.

For some reason this thread made me start thinking about a certain Latin American fighter. I'm sure you all know the guy. As a young up and comer he suffered a real set-back when he lost to a guy who was 3-6-0. He rallied, but then lost his first bid for a world title. A bit later he did win that title, but then later he tried to step-it-up, and lost again. He rallied again, but then when he tried to step things up once more he lost two more times. He had lots of trouble with slick boxers, his foot work was no better than average, and his hand speed was less than stellar. And, since he suffered two knock outs in his career, and went down in a few different fights, by ESB standards he MUST of had a glass jaw. I just described the down-side of ALEXIS ARGUELLO!!!! The orignal poster needs to find a different sport to follow. He obviously has very little knowledge or understanding of boxing. Boo
I have a fair amount of knowledge pertaining to the sport, and I happen to agree with what the OP was saying. Pavlik has the fundementals, but lacks much more. His one-two combinations would be far less effective against a more confident, sound fighter. As a matter of fact, they were about useless in their first matchup, until Taylor basicly lost the fight trying to finsih him off.
Dont rememeber Basilio,Fullmer,LaMotta(just a few of MANY examples) being the perfect fighters.Didnt stop them from being Hall of Famers... Todays LAME ASS quick to write anyone off with a single loss on there record seem to think that a Champion has to be the most rounded Boxer with perfect defence,1 punch power,never get hit or wobbled,dominating jab,crisp combos,faster than your opponent in every fight,never lose a round,exciting in every fight....and so on. Not everyone in the HOF ATG or just GREAT CHAMP is a Robinson,Mayweather,Leonard...some win with grit and heart.
