pav may be over-rated, and exposed, but he would still kick the **** out of roach

Not even if Roach attacked him. I think Kelly would have too much respect for Roach. :D

On a serious note, there is talk of Kelly returning to 160 after all. I doubt it, but... Roach would be out since Sturm fills that slot. Does Roach have slots at 168/175?

roach would be great but his plate is pretty full. although it may be a conflict of interest i like andre ward's trainer a lot for pavlik. joe goosen is a great choice, so is ronnie shields. manny steward always had a lot of respect for pavlik after he beat jt, and manny specializes with tall fighters. i also think it wouldn't hurt him to train with the mayweathers so he can be a little more slick. whatever the case is all these trainers will teach him more than, "double that ****ing jab."

Ill be rooting for Pavlik if he gets a rematch with Martinez

He has a chance of winning the rematch

People seem to forget,Pavlik dropped Martinez and was starting to figure him out

Its just when he got cut, everything went down hill from then, and Martinez took advantage and did what he supposed to do

    *sigh

Didnt the hopkins fight expose that **** to all of you? He is a VERY sloppy fighter who relies to heavy on "That big shot". Dont get me wrong, it works....sometimes. Others, he just looks like a goof

But yes, I believe if either roach or steward got a hold of him, he could be a WAY MORE complete fighter.

hahaha i dont know what fight you were watching but he never figured martinez out , he got more aggresive in a couple rounds , but still lost them , he scored an off balance kd but never landed anything telling , he never once had martinez hurt ever , but his ass was ready to go in the 9th

I never liked him since the Calzaghe fight. Never saw him fight before that. Maybe its those ******ed tribal tats..

I don't get it with Pavlik. He's got nightmares of Hopkins everyday. I hope he recovers but I think we've seen the last of him.

Dude, he led in the fight going into the ninth on about every card. He won the 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th, had a KD to his credit and was doing much better. Be fair.

But, I don't think he can beat Martinez at middleweight. He's just the fraction of an inch of in his placement, and a step too slow, and Martinez has an amazing jaw. If he was more fragile, then yes, Pavlik could easily win the rematch, but Martinez is one of the more sturdy guys in that weight range in the world.

    this is true
however, i think people forget it more easily because kelly didn't activate his rematch clause. i think he could have won that fight sans cuts, but why didn't he want to fight again? I think the weight had something to do with it. I also think the cuts had something to do with it.
Now that he's had some time to think maybe he wants another crack.
