Assuming the rematch is not first. Abraham has only fought in Germany, I think. To beat him, kelly / Taylor ...would likely have to KO him, so I doubt either one would want that, in germany...that's Arthurs' home turf..and they would have a hard time winning without a KO. Wright is off a loss, correct? Now, who will Kelly or Taylor, both, get criticzed for fighting, or not fighting?? If either try Duddy..Sturm...Abraham...Miranda ( Again for Kelly ..or 1st for Taylor )..Mora?? I mean, who would you consider credible for either of them, and who would you criticize them for fighting next ?? :think
I think Duddy would be a good match of Pavlik. ( Mora wouldn't fight Taylor in Memphis due to it being his backyard, I doubt he'll take Pavlik ) He's got some good name recognition and he's based in the States which is a big factor when determining public appeal. Arbraham and Sturm are both Europeans so they lack the appeal. After cementing his championship with a win in the U.S. maybe then Pavlik can cross over and challenge the Euros. Other possibilities are Wright and Hopkins. Though I don't think Hopkins can hit the middleweight 160 without seriously draining himself. As for Wright he's got to be leery about facing a fighter who applies as much pressure as Pavlik does. He'd probably want to wait and see Pavlik in a few more fights before he commits himself. As for Taylor. He has three options. He can ditch the middleweight division and challenge the super-middleweights. Miranda would be a good choice due to the already set up antagonism but since Miranda has dropped out of the public spotlight ( he used to be one of the biggest trash-talkers) after getting gored by Pavlik, I have to question whether he's still a viable fighter. Or he can go looking to score a decent middleweight fight in the US. ( Mora's a good possibility ) He could also try to get Sturm's or Abraham's belts to raise the ante for a fight with Pavlik.
