On my post that u liked! I said Keep Jack around as a Mentor/Manager/Asst. Trainer For loyalty! Kelly Needs Someone in there To teach him Speed, footwork, Head movement 4-5 punch combos IMO! Partying did hurt him no doubt, but Kelly always partied! I drank with Billy Lyell at Leon's Bar in Howland all the time 3-4 years ago. He partys just as much! lol But i hear ya !:good
I have ZERO qualifications! I just know Kelly as a boxer! Been watching him almost 8 years. There Isnt much he has changed! I agree with you though. Obviously GAME PLANNING Is a big Issue in there camp also!
Jack has probably been in the fight game longer than you have lived. I'm sure longer than you have been watching boxing. If you think his fight with Martinez was the same as his fights with Taylor then go look again. Martinez was a much different challenge and Kelly had it figured out by the middle rounds and was fighting a much different fight than we normally have seen from him. He changed when he needed to change. I expect to see more.
Yes!! :deal You sayin' Jack don't know how to teach this ****?? Is this not what he's doin' with those more "athletic" fighters?
Im getting off of work, ill talk to guys on Monday. No disrespect! I just wanna see Pavlik Succeed! I never turned my back on him! Have a good weekend!
OK, name me your trainer of choice, and give me an example of a fighter they've worked to a better form, that didn't ALREADY HAVE IT. Think hard. Like Hermit said, small adjustments are one thing.....
Same ole... The people that say Kelly is a one dimensional plodder and over rated are the same that say Jack can't coach. You REALLY can't argue both sides of that and look credible.
I think Pavlik can stick with Lowe and do great. Its a combination that has worked in the past. Why fix whats not broke? What needs to be fixed is Pavliks comitment to boxing and thats it imo. All he has to do is work hard and keep training he should get even better. Lowe and Pavlik is a combination that works you try another combination your getting into a bunch of unknowns.
