Arum is in his 70's and has been doing this for a while. He knows AA is under 'weight pressures' at 160. I think he is just 'negotiating'. Plus, see my previous post. Pav is taking less this fight, so he may want a money fight next then AA in the fall.

And what did he do in the last 12 months to make KP-AA big? When aksed, Abraham traveled to the States and KTFO Miranda live on Showtime. He did his part. A double-header or AA-Marquez on HBO never happened, I think HBO made it clear they are really interested in KP-AA, but not in building up that fight. The fate of this fight is now in Arum's hands, and I don't think he's just playing promotional tricks. It wouldn't make sense. It's either a reasonable offer to Sauerland which they'd take, or no fight, it's not a too complicated fight to negotiate. The Sturm fight is another thing, but **** that fight, it doesn't make sense neither from financial nor from the boxing fans standpoint.

Mundine-Pavlik is something now several GBP press releases mentioned, and if it's not the house fight (KP-Duddy) or KP-Williams, unfortunately I see another TR-GBP co-promotion coming - which is KP-Mundine, a fight makes absolutely no sense at all, but with GBP, money is involved.

This is the first I've heard on Mundine. I agree. I don't think there would be ANY interest in this fight at all. Anywhere. Anytime.

Insane, isn't it? And yet GBP and now Arum mentions it as a possibility. WTF are they seeing in this match-up (other than the trash-talk of a totally unknown fighter)? :think

i can see what route they are looking to go down

beating the crap out of mundine in good fashion, would stamp a good statement for pavlik when he does choose to move up to 168pounds
the main man at 168pounds = kessler

we all know kesslers meetings with mundine

but i do not agree with this fight anyway like you said, it does not hold any value at 160pounds

This make Pav/Abe more likely in June? Duddy with a quick turn around and fighting in April? He would have to have two walkovers to even think about Pavlik in June. Still, it would be non stop training. That might be too much.

Everytime I click on an Abraham thread I feel like I should put my hip waders on first. The utter bull**** is getting deeper by the day. The kid knocked out Edison Miranda, and now he is the second coming Rocky Marciano.

I really can't wait for this fight to happen. Write this down and book mark this page: Kelly Pavlik will RUN OVER this mother****er!

I agree with you that Pavlik is the champ at 160... But the rest of your list is more than laughable... Winky did not fight for over 1 year.... Paul Williams had 1 fight at 160...

Might you have an agenda if Paul Williams wins his fight against Winky? Then I will propably read that Paul is a more worthy challenger for Pavlik than AA...Ridiculous..

Williams and Winky have both accomplished WAY more than Abraham has. Head to head Williams holds nearly every advantage, and if Winky has even 3/4 of a take of gas left, he would make AA look like a sub-novice amature.

There was a time when I thought Abraham was a legit titlist and a worthy challenger who could make a good fight with KP. However, most of what I knew about Arthur was based on ESB hype. After I took the time to watch a few of his fights, and dig deeper into his reume', my opinion of him dropped dramatically.
