Pav vs Mundine is not a bad as you think......it allows the US to show it prime time and shows in Aust sunday lunch.....Pav could take 100% of gate, sponsors and US PPV......Mundine would clean up just on the Aussie PPV.

Leaving Zuniga to fight Lorenzo but all of a sudden, Marquez was named the co-challenger and Zuniga got screwed up.

Problem is that Zuniga has no powerful promo outlet behind him and Marquez (via Warriors) got the call.

    What does all this mean?

There is no more worthwhile fight for Pavlik. Nobody with a better resume. All you are doing is discrediting a potential victory for Pavlik! Not clever.

I think Mundine would be a welcome addittion to the lacklustre 160lb weight class, there sint much there apart from Kelly and Abraham, so Mundine who has had some good performances at world level at 168 could be one of the better middleweights.

As for Duddy he is useless, stylewise and talent wise the perfect fight to make Pavlik look good, I saw this fight a mile off, they need it to rebuild Kellys rep. Well get Rubio then Duddy, then maybe Abraham if we are lucky by mid 2010...Arthur could well be a super middleweight by that time...

Boo has stated that after watching some film and studying AA's record he has pretty much downgraded him anyhow. If Kelly beats AA right now everyone would immediately start the down grade anyhow. You know how that goes. I have seen people say AA is A level/elite and go unchallanged. In the end, you are remembered for your big fights. AA hasn't had them at MW. If he loses to Kelly he will have no big wins at MW and then move up to SMW. If he does better there because he isn't weight drained, will it matter what he did at MW?

Then why is Boo doing the job of the haters for them, by completely discrediting Abraham? It is a completely ridiculous thing to do for the sake of your own fighter.

He can look at his record and performance all he likes. Nobody out there has done anything better, not Sturm, not Rubio, certainly not Duddy.

Just like you, Boo is calling it like he sees it. He isn't going to alter his view for the haters or the huggers. Only the fighters will can do this. He likes to play with the huggers and haters, but you have seen what he is like when someone is serious. THAT is all he really cares about.

You know I respect your knowledge, and you know that you are my favorite antagonist when we're on different sides of an issue. So, here's what my recent attitude is all about.

People keeping talking as if Abraham is a boxing superstar and proven P4P commodity. They talk as if Pavlik/Abraham is the only fight that matters at 160. That is simply not true.

Now that Winky is back in the mix, and Williams seems to be serious about making his mark at 160, Abraham may not even be the #1 contender. Let's assume for a minute that Winky still has enough gas in the tank to get past Williams. Any version of Winky that can beat Williams is a more important challenge than Abraham, and that, in my opinion, is not even debatable. It is also a fight that Team Pavlik, and many Pavlik fans have been waiting YEARS to see happen.

What if things go the other way, and Paul beats some version of Winky that fights as well as Wright did against Taylor? Wouldn't that make Williams/Abraham pretty much a 50/50 fight?

Arthur is not the only fight that matters, and he may not even be the toughest challenge. As far as drawing power, outside of Germany you could smear horse**** all over him, and he still couldn't draw flies.

In terms of a future legacy, a version of Winky that just beat Williams is a far more important name on a resume' than Abraham. If Williams wins that fight, he would also ultimately prove to be a bigger name than Arthur. He's already a two division world titlist, and will most likely be the man who inherits the middleweight division once Pavlik is gone.

Sauerland has steared Arthur clear of 3 types of opponents: Guys who can crack; he has only Miranda: Guys with serious accomplishments; he has only Eastman: Guys over 6 foot; he has only Ikeke. Pavlik is tall, he can crack, and he has some major accomplishments behind him. If Sauerland really wants this fight, they need to prove it, not just talk about it.

Sauerland could have offered Zuniga the fight after Oral got hurt, but instead they CHOSE ayala.

And here's a question about your 2nd point: Since when is it Kelly's fault that Arthur isn't a major draw outside of Germany?

But since when is Pavlik known anywhere else but in the US?

He can't draw **** the same way as Abraham can't when crossing the pond...and Pavlik has never fought anywhere else but in the US. Pavlik has just a bigger outlet in the US b/c the States are far bigger than Germany.

But wait, Abraham alone gets a 85% TV rating (about 2.5 mio viewers) in his native Armenia and 30% (6 mio) in addition from his chosen home of Germany whereas HBO (and PPV) is just available for the privileged which got him ratings around 2 million (HBO) and 300.000 (PPV).

And you tell me that $1.5 mio would be too much to pay AA for such a fight b/c of economics when alone German TV money would guarantee this kinda purse (an exception b/c normally they just handle over $750.000 on average for a card)?

Come on boo, you are better than that...

I was trying to buy into it, I had to admit I didn't know much of **** about Elcock, Demmers, etc....but I damn sure KNOW about Ayala. He is local to me, and no pulling the shades down over my eyes on what level that dude is. He..erm.."earned" his title shot at AA by getting a draw with Sergio Mora!!?? :rofl:rofl And his fight for AA is exactly the 2nd time Ayala had ever even fought out of his own state/town.

Not much was mentioned, but it can be found. People went bat **** over the KO of Ayala with :28 seconds to go in the 12th. Only it wasn't a punch. It was an upper/cut/elbow to the chin that dropped him like he'd been caught flush on the chin with an....erm....elbow!

Ayala didn't protest it, he was behind and would have lost any ways, but I'm not fooled.:blood

PS...Marquez was a good win, and I'm glad AA shut that cocky **** head up.:deal

Wright hasn't even fought for over 1.5 years.

Paul Williams has beaten Andy Kolle.

At this point neither of them are considered bigger challenges, and neither has the belt. It is quite right people talk about Abraham, and not somebody who has done his best work at 147lbs, or another guy who has not fought at this weight for over 2 years. This is only fair, and logical.

The outcome of Wright-Williams might change that, but at this point people want to see the outcome of AA-Pavlik for good.
