No, he doesn't have the movement, size or work-rate.

That's the reasoning Floyd megafans use for why Floyd never had to fight Cotto, Margarito, and Williams. They presumed that Floyd could automatically morph into the very fighters who beat them and do the the exact same thing only better. He has a new sub resume of fighters he never fights but automatically beats in theory because someone else did.

It's like getting your big sibling to beat up someone for you then bragging to everybody that you would have done the same.

Here's a serious question. I honestly do not know the full answer.

Has Floyd ever lost 4 consecutive rounds, took flush lefts and rights from a huge puncher, suffered a knock down, and then come back to win?

I'm only asking because that is what Martinez had to do to beat Pavlik.

The knockdown was legitimate? I thought it wasn't? (haven't seen the fight yet)

They were rough housing in a clinch. Martinez got forced out of position and hit with a left hook. That knocked him off balance and Pavlik hit him with a right hand. Anyone who says otherwise is delusional.

I can't stand Mayweather but realistic, he could beat Pavlik without getting hit at all, but he wouldn't fight him regardless. It's not ducking him, he just doesn't challenge himself.

Its my understanding that it represents a void in his resume. And somewhat sure it originated with Farmboxer.

Well, I know where you're going with this but I'll add to it anyways. Floyd lost quite a few rounds early to Zab Judah and was hurt a little on a few occasions and had a balance KD that was improperly ruled a slip....Floyd then proceeded to absolutely dominate Judah.

Are Judah's hands as heavy as Pavliks? No. But he's fast as hell and those shots he nailed Mayweather with looked painful.

And like another poster wrote in regards to this fantasy matchup...I can see Floyd winning sure, but I don't see him doing that.

You seem to be coming down a bit heavy on these "delusional" accusations post-Martinez.

Might be the wrong word. However, I see all kinds of people acting like the knock down didn't happen. Martinez was off balance and out of position, but he got knocked down by two punches. It's not like he just slipped and fell, but plenty of people are acting like that is what happened.

now let me ask u a question

has kp ever faced anyone with floyds defense or near as good as floyds defense?

has kp ever faced someone as skillful as floyd?

has kp ever faced anyone as fast as floyd?

what has the result been when KP has stepped into the ring with a top 5 fighter? he is 0-1 with 1 schooling i believe..

not saying floyd would hands down win...but after seeing what martinez did i believe floyd would be able to win 5 rounds on a horrible night and 10 rounds on a really good one...somewhere in the middle though is likley 8-4 or 7-5...

wouldnt be shocked if KP did win but dont rule floyd out on this one...styles make fights

This thread is irrelevant. Mayweather would never step in the ring with Pavlik.
