You're out of your ****ing mind. Calzaghe would give Pavlik the boxing lesson of a lifetime and win by wide UD. The only thing Kelly has on Calzaghe is power and that won't be enough to beat an ATG at 168 like Joe.:deal

What does Pavlik do better than Joe Calzaghe, other than hit harder?

Don't make me laugh too much, I've got sore ribs - took a nasty body shot yesterday :-(

I'm from Cleveland & as much as I truly am proud of and love Pavlik for the exciting fighter that he is, I believe he will get his ass-whupped by Calzaghe and lose by either a TKO or KO. Pavlik gets hit with wayyy to many clean shots, is a bleeder and any great boxer with finishing skills would have KO'd him when Taylor had him stumbling all over the ring & Calzaghe knows how to finish a fighter off. Pavlik will be around for a long time winning, losing belts & winning them again. He will create future fights of the year because of his style but he IS NOT READY FOR CALZAGHE. Hopefully his body & eye's will hold up so that we can see him at super-middle 5 yrs from now, but not now.

I see Joe taking a decision in a very competitive fight. I would not be too surprised for a Pavlik win though. Pavliks detractors can't get the facts that Pavlik is a very good fighter, faster than he looks, and not just a stong guy. After that brutal round #2 KD vs. Taylor, Pavlik got focused, defended himself much better and solved Taylor. Calz. did the same thing with Kessler. If this fight comes off, it's going to need to be soon though as Joe's on the downhill slide of his career.

    Hers how Kelly beats him.
He throws lots of punches --- as many, if not more than Calzaghe.
    He hits harder.
He is in tremdous shape --- will not get tired.
    He is younger and hungrier.
    So --- he beats Calaghe.
    Right hand to the chin.
If that dont work --- more right hands to the chin.
    Everyone chin has its threshold.
    End of Calzaghe.

I disagree, but I respect the points you made

Calzaghe wins a wide UD or mid/late TKO on accumulation
