Pavlik's still suffering from that embarrassing beating he took.

LOL, he sounds like a stubborn little kid who wasn´t invited to the party...
    "I didn´t want to be there anyway...blabla"

Seriously, how can you root for such a guy who according to himself only cares for the money?

Oh and btw, they aren´t fighting for peanuts...they are fighting for their respective legacy, but a guy like Pavlik wouldn´t understand!

He sounds like a ***** who has been left out in he cold.

He has just seemed bitter since he got thoroughly schooled by Hopkins. Props to Abraham for stepping up to this, It says a lot about which fighter is more ballsy, and I always thought that Abraham was the ***** of the two.

Whats Pavlik gonna do in the meantime? Feast on the sorry bums who pass for contenders in what is now probably the worst division in the game, and haggle over a fight with Sturm? Well, that sounds just great, I'm sure Vincent Gottschalk can't wait.

Sadly, every single other fan will not give a **** about him, and will be much more excited about the tournament.

Wow, so much for the ordinary, down-to-earth, "blue-collar" Pavlik we all knew and loved. He fought Hopkins out of greed and now he's refusing to fight Sturm because of it. If there's anyone ruining his career, it's the Ghost.

I agree, that's very off-putting. He's meant to be a man of the people. Guess he's already forgotten about those days sealing driveways for $5 an hour.

Pavlik sounds bitter, frustrated and disappointed. As for the people on this thread calling "*****" and "baby" et, I wonder how many of you keyboard warriors would be willing to say that to his face.

The underrated out-of-touch-with-reality comment here is that he thinks he is a top 5 star in boxing and compares himself to LeBron James. Lol!
Has he taken a look at his PPV-Numbers or questioned why he can not even get on regular HBO.

I would say to him what I wrote in this thread. I am disapointed from what he is saying because I thought he had class. I surely lost much respect...

And it's not for "peanuts", at least by my definition. It's probably something like $6m for the two guys dropping out after round-robin, 8 for the semifinalists, 10 for the runner up and 12 for the winner. As opposed to getting a whooping $1m for fighting Sturm. Nobody is ever giving him $3m for fighting a Lockett again. Sturms days where he got $1m for a sparring with Sato are over next year, when he will probably fight on DSF for $200-500k, or has to go the US and fight for Arum or GBP.

If Abraham wins, he gets some 12 millions, if he drops out with 3 losses he still has like 6 millions. Not exactly a scarce retirement funds.

Pavlik sounds like he's been bought out by the devil...:hat

That's certainly not the Pavlik we knew just a year ago...
