Pavlik blasts SM tournament

What a little *****. He'd get knocked the **** out if he had entered this tournament, and he knows it.

 

Sounds like an angry drunk to me.

 

Pavlik has turned into a joke.....

These lads are fighting for legacy, and all Pavlik can talk about is money!

Either he is frightened (which he quite obviously is after Hopkins beat down) or money mad..... either way, its poor....

 

I think we can add Pavlik to the list of the fighters that Hopkins has ruined.

 

I'm a pavlik fan, but he's being a total dick.

First, he lets his continuing stupid management lead to his first loss (fighting while sick) against hopkins. Now he might have lost anyway but surely he could manage to fight a little better than that.

Then he continues his trend towards arrogance - like he is worth so much. He has things to prove after losing to hopkins. He has nothing to be boastful about.

And showtime is not that bad - lately they are the ones with the better shows like dexter, weeds and some others.

And you gotta be dumb if you think appearing to be in it just for the money is not going to affect perception with fans.

Plus the economy is bad and likely to get much worse.

 

Pavlik only sounds frustrated. Im sure once the dust settles he will come to his senses.

Pavlik I thought was a fighter who got lucky. Jermain Taylor should have won the first fight on boxing ability and skill. I have to give it to Pavlik he did get off the canvas after taking a horrible beating to win that match and the rematch which I thought he got lucky again although it was a close fight. Pavlik is the last person that needs to talk about money in fights because he just lost to a man whos at the end of his career and was easily outpointed by him. He needs to try to earn respect from the boxing fans again because remember this time last year all the talk was Joe Calzaghe vs. Kelly Pavlik possibly happening which would have put him in the top 5 of boxing just for being in that matchup win or lose. Right now you have to tip your hat to Showtime there showing some good matchups they may not have the same budget and production value as HBO but as a part of the boxing world you have to respect them the 6 man tourney is one of the best things in boxing right now i'm a bit disappointed Bute and Andrade arent in it

 

For real like HBO who he just stated is the best wants to air Pav - Mora, Mora just got spanked by Forrest.

 

Then he got the nerve to say the other fighters will be ruined! punk ass pavlik. NO, YOU would be ruined if you had entered the tourney.

Why do people like you, who obviously have no interest in the truth, keep commenting on Mora? That's was Arum's idea. No member of Team Pavlik wanted it, and when it came time to renegotiate his contrcat with Top Rank one of the conditions was NO MORA FIGHT. You guys that keep bringing that up just make yourselves look foolish.

No member of Team Pavlik, and no representative of Top Rank EVER said ANYTHING about Martinez. DiBella floated the idea, and got absolutely no response. Jesus Christ kid; try to keep up if you plan to stay in the conversation. Even if they did fight Martinez, now that Abraham ran off to fight a two time Pavlik victim, who at 160 would beat Martinez?

Why he's now licking HBO's balls, I'll never know. He's not even HBO's 5th highest priority- but he's ensured even less money for himself now not only by alienating fans, but by dissing their chief rival- meaning HBO will have nobody but themselves to bid against for his fights. And, going by their offer for Sturm-Pavlik, it's going to be some low stakes. If the SMW fighters are fighting for peanuts, what does that make what HBO will paying Pavlik in the future? What's less than peanuts? Sunflower seeds?
