Bute would probably beat Pavlik but I can't see them risking it. Gotta keep their boy safe - fighting those total no hopers.
Which explains why Bute's team tried to get a fight with Froch before the tourney made him unavailable I guess....
Andrade is a very good aggressive fighter and we saw what he did in the first fight against Bute. Pavlik is slow, doesn't cut off the ring and one dimensional. If Bute is able to stun or hurt Pavlik then Pavlik has no hope in this one, if his one style doesn't work he's toast. All Bute needs is stamina and that's where he could be vulnerable IF Pavlik takes his punches and keeps aggressive throwing punches everywhere.
Yes I am, are you for real to spam "lol" emotes after that? In terms of styles, please explain how Pavlik is superior.
I'm gonna have to go with Bute in this one.. still think he is a little hyped.. but Pavlik's confidence just might not be the same... since his last loss...
You made some good points in this post, but there are huge differences between Martinez and Bute. For one thing Martinez uses both hands well, but Bute is damn near one-handed. Pavlik's loss to Martinez had nothing to do with the southpaw stance. KP hasn't fought a bunch of southpaws as a pro, but in the AMs he fought several, and never lost to one. He does not struggle with lefties. My big concern is that I just think Kelly is the type of fighter who needs to fight 3 times a year to stay sharp. He hasn't done that since 2008.
I don't like this fight for KP. I'd rather see him against any number of guys before he takes on Bute. That is, if the plan is to keep fighting afterwards. I get the feeling that if he were to fight Bute, it would be to cash in and then cash out. Don't know why. I think there are wiser options out there, if the plan was to rebuild KP's career. I feel like he would be going into this as the opponent, not looking to build after should he win.
