i dont think his upcoming fight really proves much... its just a "stay busy" fight, so he doesn't get stripped from his title. He needs to fight top level guys if he wants to make a statement.

He should not have scheduled to fight Paul Williams and wasted not just the fans time, but Pauls time and energy.

Somehow I think he's the imbecile given he rescheduled a second fight with Williams while he still had a staph infection.

I'm not saying the guy didn't have a staph infection, but he shouldn't of rescheduled. He did so, so that Williams would get fed up and look aswell. He wants nothing to do with Williams. Or didn't, he might do knew that he's seen how he struggled with Martinez.

Coincidently, I think both have a good chance of beating Pavlik, despite both being 'smaller' men. He's beatable for sure. Certainly not amongst the elite, he's proved nothing bar the Taylor fights, and Taylor has since gone to get knocked out twice more.

 

U can't take anything seriously coming from Pavlik's and Loew's mouth. They say some ridiculous shite and back nothing up.

Why sign the fight with Williams before being cleared? Surely those two weeks in between weren't decisive? I also think that Williams would have postponed the fight two weeks, for the extra million.

Pavlik's team are just...terrible. Everything about Pavlik just doesn't make the same impression it once did. Where has the humble Pavlik gone?

Anyway, he looks terrible. His career seems effectively done. I bet he looks shut against the guy he's fighting and won't fight 5 more times in his career. Pretty depressing prediction but I think it's true. Everything about him just seems so negative right now.

 

With a mention that Pavlik's way to the top before the title fight was indeed the way a fighter should come up(McKart,Zertuche,Miranda,etc).

 

I can agree that this fight being on PPV is a joke.
Although Espino is alot better than Lockett,he is a former amatuer standout beating Luis Collazo(in the amatuers) and also has a knockout win over former Champ Alex Garcia. Kelly will win but Espino is no bum either.
