Because B-Hop is his dad, and B-Hop would be able to dust off his cane when he's 80 and give Pavlik a whuupin'.

Pavlik has always said he would jump at the opportunity to rematch BHop.

Pavlik knows he would get smashed again at 160 why he didn't take his rematch clause.

The thing is, Pavlik hasnt fought in over a year now. He had his problems with the bottle, and had to go away.

Now, he wants Martinez to move up in weight to face him AGAIN????

Martinez is the man at 160. He gave Pavlik the chance for a rematch, but as he was just moving up in weight, did not want to jump up AGAIN and face someone he already beat soundly.

And Kelly could have tried to get back down to 160, but he chose not to. His choice, but to accuse Martinez of ducking Pavlik when we dont even know what kind of shape he will be in or if he will even be his old self, is absolutely insane.

Pavlik needs to worry about Lopez first. And let's hope he has actually solved his bottle issues first.

So why do Sergio's fans allow him to ignore and opportunity to take on a big challenge, and earn a career high pay day? Most fighters would get ripped apart for doing that. Especially if they take an easier fight for less money, and it looks like an easier fight for less money is exactly what Sergio has in mind.

Unfortunately for Pavlik, Sergio is the man right now and he is not obligated to fight under Kelly Pavliks demands. I'm sure if Pavlik makes a reasonable comeback fight against Lopez and calls Martinez out live on air for the 160lbs title, things would be different. But Martinez has no obligations to go to 164 or whatever it is Pavlik wants him at.

Im not sure but was it not Cintron who picked Martinez ? Dont know about the Williams. Pavlik was a full on Middleweight and Martinez had just moved up. Beats them all and then KO´s Williams. The WBC wanted Martinez to fight Zbik  Id say fighting "Razor" was more of a risk.

The idea is for a fall fight after the May 7th Lopez outing. Pavlik damned near killed himself making weight for the forst fight with Sergio. Sergio is suppose to be the P4P #3. He says he wants to be numer 1. Did we start giving fighters extra P4P credit when the beat much smaller fighters?

If he moves up in weight and beats Pavlik (who has done NOTHING at 168) what will that mean p4p? Pavlik is not rated in ANYONE's top 10 or 15 at this point.

And why is Pavlik talking about Martinez? he is not fighting Martinez on May 7th, unless my old age of 29 is finally catching up with me...

Since the 2nd Taylor fight, the only way Pavlik has been able to win a fight is to boil down to 160 and fight bums that he has every possible advantage over.

The loser doesn't get to dictate the terms of a re-match.

WBC: Pavlik is the #1 contender

    WBO: Pavlik is #3 contender

guess someone around here needs to keep up a little better.

You have a lot of excuses, but what fighter who is actually available for fall should Martinez fight? Is that fighter a legit challenge? Will that fighter bring well over 7 figures to the table?

Pavlik isnt available yet because he has a fight on May 7th that he hasnt even WON yet!

And please man, those ranking are a joke. Are they at 160? (where hasnt fought in a year) or 168 (where hasnt fought at in years, and never beat a ranked opponent)?

He's only ranked because Bob Arum wants him ranked. Pavlik hasn't done any battles besides the one with his bottle, since losing to Martinez, big time.
