So why do Sergio's fans have so many excuses? Who should Sergio fight in the fall; who actually wants to fight him, and brings a 7 figure pay day to the table? (I have a doctor's appointment. We can continue when I get back.)
Sergio isnt signed to fight anyone in the fall, and Pavlik will be an option should he defeat Lopez, but he must get by that hurdle first, no? Also, like I pointed out, Sergio Martinez has no obligations fighting at a catch weight. Oh, and good luck at the doctors mate.:good
Who the **** wants to see an ex-alcoholic get the **** beat out of him. I didn't like or watch McBride-Adamek and I am not going to watch this horse **** should it happen.
What makes you think Sergio is ignoring the opportunity to take on a big challenge? Didn't Sergio fought Pavlik already when Sergio was suppose to be the CLEAR underdog and a fight "Maravilla" was suppose to lose. What about when he fought Paul Williams, ranked in P4P then, was that not a big challenge? Segio once again was suppose to be the underdog and a fight he wasn't suppose to win (well in fact he officially lost the first fight with Willams). Let Pavlik worry about his upcoming fight and see how he does then he should see his options. He just can't come back from inactivity and fight Sergio right away. As it is, people discredit that WIN of Sergio Martinez over Pavlik because he was passed his best or was "overhyped". What makes you think that in a second fight, if Martinez were to win, he won't be discredit even more? Didn't you state that the reason Martinez won was becuase Pavlik was having problems with the bottle? What will be the excuse if they fought again and Sergio wins? That Pavlik was done long ago?
I am a fan of Pavlik and wish him the best. This may be biting off a bit more than neccessary at this point of his comeback. But, Martinez is not really overwhelmend with options right now and I do think it would pull in good numbers on HBO.
A "big challenge"? Dude, Pavlik has done nothing of merrit since he beat JT the second time, I mean no disrespect but Pavlik is hardly a "big challenge" which has already been demonstrated by Martinez.
Martinez packs some KO power now, let's not hope for the end of Kelly's career. He should do fine at 168 as long as he doesn't fight Ward or Bute, forget Sergio, he's just too ****ing good.
Pavlik ****ed up, the guy is gonna have to work his way back into the mix. Until then he needs to shut up about Martinez.
