A healthy, focused Pavlik stops Sergio. He gave him hell in those middle rounds, in the rematch I imagine he wouldn't get cut so bad or gassed so hard.

Yeah, Pavlik when healthy and in shape is going to get knocked out by Martinez who couldn't even do it when Pavlik was killing himself to make 160 and had drinking issues.

 ya , and sergio fell down and skinned his knee on his way to the ring and it hurt so he then took off the middle rounds , but just then sarmiento gave him some neosporin and he was a new man

To be fair: Maravilla seems to have improved over the last fights. He has even more precision and it also looks like his power has improved by moving up in weight.

IMO Pavlik should show us a convincing performance against Lopez and call Maravilla out in public after that. I would love to see a rematch and I'm actually pretty sure that Sergio knocks him out this time. A counter puncher is usually favoured in rematches as he's already familiar with your style and can apply the lessons learned in a rematch. Sergio KO Pavlik in 8.

Martinez need to stop calling out smaller guys. Seriously, doesn't he know that's Pavlik's job?

Sergio is a KO waiting to happen. If Kelly comes into a fight in good shape, theres no doubt in my mind hed lay Sergio out.

What Sergio has is speed but he has no defense, swings wild and has an average chin. Its inevitable.

Martinez would beat kelly again in the re-match... he might even stop him this time!

How would the Pavlik fight enhance his legacy, and how do you know it would carry a career high payday? He doesn't even have a belt and is hardly established at 168. Additionally, even if Cotto, et. al., won't fight him in the fall, moving up in weight again essentially guarantees he'll never get fights with any of those guys. It might make more economic sense to bide his time (especially given his trainer's ongoing issues) than to move up for his fall fight. Finally, Martinez is now one of HBO's stars. He's likely going to make seven figures in his next fight even if it's against Manfredo.

Why don't you see what Pavlik enters the ring against Lopez before making rash assumptions about the weight difference? I mean even now you're still insisting that the fight take place closer to Pavlik's weight class. Also, I'm pretty sure all of those guys you mentioned weighed above 170 on multiple occasions.
