I would like Taylor's chances against him. He is faster than Joe. We will never know though. I don't see this fight EVER happening.

    Faster? In what way?

I certainly don't believe he has faster handspeed.

Broken record time. Watch Kessler/Calzaghe back to back with Taylor/Pavlik 2. Taylor is faster.

Dude dont forget that Pavlik got hit in the back on the head/neck with Taylor's right hand, that alone puts anyone on shaky legs

Taylor may be faster "athletically" but he's not faster practically

It's like football. One guy may run a 4.3 on the track and another runs a 4.7, but the one who runs the 4.7 looks faster on the field

Taylor might be faster in the most technical terms, but he is spastic in the ring and doesn't have the type of reflexes when it comes to reacting to the opponent that JC does

Ive been reading some of the posts and it amazes me how some people state there opinions more on emotion and not boxing reason......Kellys come forward slower style will be easy pickings for Calzaghe..Kelly will have his moments but eventually Joe probably after the 4th round will dictate the whole fight......Just how i view it as far as styles

Speaking as a yank who wants Pavlik to win this fight, I don't see how he does it.

I disagree. This is the fight that would have Amsterdam committing suicide.

Yeah I seriously want Pavlik to KO Calzaghe so I make a waterbed out of Amsterdam's tears

I thought Boo laid it out quite nicely. I made this argument with a Taylor fan prior to the second fight. Jermain might win the boxing match, but Kelly would win the fight. Kelly isn't flashy. He is a fighter. He hurts you with his punches. My son was telling me that Jack Dempsy wrote in his book, that he expected to hurt people with his jab, not just flick it out there to keep people at distance. That is Pavlik. He throws to hurt, not score points with the judges.

Actually, I meant TAYLOR over Calzaghe. No suicide needed. That would kill him outright. :rofl
