The situation last year was a pretty clear case of PW's team buying him a stay of execution by pricing him out of the fight. Since the Martinez fight everything from the Williams camp sounds like they are no longer willing to let KP anywhere near PW. I was one of those who insisted that Paul's #3 Ring Magazine ranking at 160 was legit, and he deserved it. After watching Williams/Matinez, I changed my mind. PW is not a middleweight.
You know something booradley? I read an article on Pavlik vs Espino ticket sells are very bad. Awwww i guess not much people in ohio want to see their hometown hero Pavlik fight. :-( lol. Sounds like Pavlik so called drawing power is dropping like flies. And since hbo and showtime don't want anything to do with Pavlik vs Espino shows Pavlik Drawing power on tv is even worse.
Yes he did. The record books says he did rather you like it or not. And it wasn't a robbery by anymeans. If it was then it wouldn't be split on the press row, boxing writers, boxing comminatators on who thought won the fight. Some thought Martinez won, some thought Williams won. But bottomline is the record books says Williams beat Martinez. But why can't you answer the question, who at middleweight not name Pavlik, Williams that can beat Martinez?
Box rec? I suppose when they had Kelly #1 p4p you were all for that one too? No? The WILLFUL ignorance on this board is appalling.
Espino's not a mandatory. Pavlik doesn't have any mandatories at the moment. Likely that the Macklin-Pirog winner will be his mandatory. And Espino's a completely unworthy challenger. But what he did have going in his favor was that (a) he's cheap and (b) he was ranked by both bodies with which Pavlik has a belt.
