If everything pavlik has stated is true about the payment for this fight, he has every right to pull out of the fight. 50 k? seriously he would have netted 15k after everything to fight in his own backyard. They tried to **** him. Top Rank. I am no Nuthugger, or any of that internet bull**** name calling, but seriously 50k is not worth it. He is the one risking his live in there. To not have a fight contract until a week before the fight, is bull****. The bute thing is something else. Kelly shouldnt be talking about Bute, until that fight is signed. 1.35 Million to fight Bute is low, considering how much it would make in Canada. a 60/40 split in favor of Bute is more than Fair.
from my understanding he knew about the 50,000. Was fine with that, then got word this weekend they offered Kessler 3.5 to fight BUTE and only offering Kelly 1.35. Who knows though, we will never know the truth. Jack loew Said it best. He should have fought cunningham and worried about BUTE later!

It was apparently 50k plus 100% of the profits from the card. Don't know how much that would ultimately come out to, but once again...he knew about the details beforehand.
Not always. I don't always come across purses, but in the Peterson vs Cayo fight Peterson made 12,000, Cayo made 6,000. A year or so ago Steve Cunningham vs. Matt Godfrey was supposed to take place and the purse bid went for 43k for both of them. A year or so ago in Glen Johnson vs Yusef Mack, Johnson took the fight for about 10k...Mack took less.
Give it up, Pavlik ****ed up here. Pavlik is the one who asked for the Cunningham fight. He was set to receive all the profits from the fight. Top Rank only did the Cunningham fight to appease Pavlik.
yeah 50k only was the guaranteed money.. Pavlik ducked out because he didn´t want to fight as simple as that..
Pavlik has acomplished to much and made to much money to be getting hit in the face for 50 k, thats an insult. Make 50k to go to Canada where he can't win for a million? I don't blame Pavlik for turning his nose up at that. He should wait for a shot at Froch.
