Agree.......Kelly is lucking to get ANY fight at this point in his career. He needs to show up and KO somebody..........quickly.

Tantruming at his manager and promoter is not the way to maintain his tenuous grasp on relevance. Now isn't the time, and he just isn't who he thinks he is. Kelly Pavlik in 2011 doesn't have one tenth the same leverage as Kelly Pavlik in 2007/8.

My 2 cents on this whole fiasco. What in the **** are you thinking
talking any kind of biz to your charge 1 week out from the fight? He
should be wrapping up camp and ready to fight with nothing on his
mind but that. this whole thing was cameron's fault, and this arrogant
cocksucker is slowly losing cred as a manager. Pavlik got fired up so much
at this disappointing news that it blew his concentration, so he really had
no choice to turn up. He might have lost in as bad a mindset as he would
have been in. His team ****ed him good, and in turn he ****ed the boxing
public that paid to see him, and the most powerful TV network for boxing
right now, SHOWTIME.

Boxing has very little professionalism anymore.

 

It's truly amazing how many people lack any sense of business knowledge. This was gonna be a Shobox fight and Pavlik was getting more than pretty much every guy whos fought on Shobox. People defending Pavlik, do you think this fight was anywhere close to being worthy of Showtime Championship Boxing? I'll hang up and listen.

 

If thats the most he can make fighting on shobox, good riddance. I have a small business and you don't bend over for anyone if you don't have to. Pavlik don't need 50k fights he is a multi millionaire. Maybe for a tune up for Bute he needed the fight but the Cunningham fight lost its purpose.

Cuningham was to get Pavlik ready to fight Bute, it was not for the money imo. Pavlik does not want to fight Bute anymore. Pavlik has voiced his displesure with Top Rank and the way they are managing his career. He has said he would rather quit boxing then be taken advantage of. Top Rank wants to cash out on him.

 

Bute would have destroyed him.

Who wants to get destroy ?

But for 1,35 million its not that bad. Peoples get beat for less.

We will see what Pavlik is worth and what kind of money he can generate in time. He said Top Rank is saying he does not have the heart to fight no more he said he does. Top Rank may not be looking out for his best interest if they are saying things along those lines. Time will tell.
