Don't know. Bobfather is making amends with DLH and Donaire. Donaire even signed a 4 year extension with TR. All you got to do is apologize or clear the air. Which means you have to get in touch with TR. And that should be easier done than said. No, I didn't get that last sentence mixed up.

    I understand.

It's been over 4 years, and my avatar remains. :deal

(though, it's been a close one this time!):!:

the thing that worried me a lot, was Bob's response, in which he thrashed Kelly even talkin' about Kelly's family life and ****. I have learned me a lot about the Bob Father (though I thought I already knew, know what I mean) lately.

I feel for you. I always liked to watch Pavlik fight since it's always entertaining (in victory and in defeat) but I wasnt a fan like you. And for you to feel this way and all... It must be very hard on hard core fans. Props to you to have let time go and then make an opinion. I hope we will continue to be able to read your thread in the future.

Pavlik steped in with guys like Taylor x 2, Hopkins, Martienez, and Miranda when he was still relevant. He steped up to the plate, Something Bute has yet to do! Pavlik did a lot more for boxing then Bute has ever done.

Laffie has always been respectful towards Pavlik and Pavlik's fans.

    maybe you misunderstood his post.

If Pavlik drew 20K fans at Y-Town everytime out, I'd imagine he'd do the same and others would come to Y-town to fight, IMO.

But yes, when Kelly was focused, he was truly something to watch.

I have been a Pavlik fan for a long time watched most of his fights going back to 2004. And I don't feel like Pavlik has let me down. There have been highs and lows same as 99% of boxers that are out there. Far as I am concerned Pavlik has deleiverd in the sport. Look at other fighters like Paul Williams, Lucian Bute, Arthur Abraham, Andrea Dirrell, Jean Pascal, Chad Dawson, has Pavlik let his fans down more then those fighters? There is a long list of fighters that have not accomplished as much as Pavlik. Pavlik lost to two top p4p boxers and thats it. And one of the fights he would have won if not for a cut imo.

Bingo. People lose perspective when they reach a certain point in their career. He probably doesn't have the stomach for the sport anymore and is basically boiling everything down to dollars and cents from here on out. Pretty sad...

Why should he be Top Ranks ***** if he don't need to be. He already has said he don't need the money if he fights it will be on his terms. Pavlik has a wife and two kids and all the money he could ever want. He has basicly said that he is not getting punched in the face no more unless he likes the money available.

As a Pavlik fan I am proud of his decision to not give into Top Rank and I will be happy to watch him disappear over the horizen and into the sunset. He has already proved himself and there is nothing to be gained for being ***** for Top Rank.

I didn't realize that he'd made that much already. He must have made more than I thought for the Taylor rematch and the Hopkins fight :think. Good for him.

Kelly Pavliks net worth for his fights was about 6 million dollers. If someone is thrifty its more then enough to live the rest of your life on.

It's actually not a bad idea for boxers to get out of the game once they have made enough to live comfortably. The way Pavlik fights he takes a lot of hard flush punches, he has not been seriously hurt but that does not always matter. Look at how guys like Jerry Quarry and Gerald Mcclellan ended up. How many million is it worth to end up like those boxers?

Because he had signed a contract. Because his fans had bought tickets and believed in him. His reaction was too late, that's all.

My post was an answer to Pavlik fans like Booradley and Pipe wrench who feel Pavlik let them down. If you don't, well, that's ok for me.

I never bitched Pavlik because I know what he did in the past. He took some very big challenges. Sometimes he succeeded, sometimes not. He also has to fight a tough fight in his personal life and I'm old enough not to make jokes on that kind of matter. It can happen to everyone of us. In fact, many of us posters have a dependance ... on the keyboard, right?

I won't bith Pavlik but it's sad to see him quit boxing that way.

Well, Pavlik exercised a little something called free will. And imo Pavlik made the right decision. Pavlik is off his game and Bute is one of the hardest punchers in and around Pavliks weight. Pavlik has no quit in him once he steps into the ring and with Bute's vicious punching power it was a recipe for disaster. Cunningham was nothing more then to prepare for Bute.

I will be happy to see Pavlik disappear over the horizon and into the sunset if that is what he wants. Save your pity Pavlik fans don't need it.

I don't feel sorry for you being a Bute fan or a fan of any other boxer. I think Bute is a real good fighter I was just using him as an exsample.
