Pavlik clearly was getting robbed

Pavlik's timing was terrible! This was not the time to take a stand. He should have gone forward with the Cunningham fight, and then taking a stand may have been a popular decision.

The truth is he should have taken a stand over Arthur Abraham. Pavlik always said he wanted Abraham, and called him out as far back as July 2006 (after the McKart fight.) Bob Arum kept saying an Abraham fight wasn't a money maker, and talked nonsense about guys like Duddy and Mora. Pavlik should have told Arum to make the damn fight, and make it quick! He should have also made all of Sauerland's behind the scenes bull**** public. That would have been good timing for outing Top Rank, Sauerland, and Abraham.

The **** that went on with Pavlik since the Rubio fight is ridiculous, and this last nonsense was the most ridiculous of all.

The P-Willies! lol This is where I really got to know some of the Pavlik fans, I use to go at it with them. All freaking day! I remember spending my whole work day on the PC posting and replying. It's funny bc I came away with a better relationship with the Pavlik fans then I did the P-Willies. Me and Hermie are cool and PM every once in a while. You my peoples Piped. Pavlik Fan- is a internet friend. And me and Boo have a mutual respect for each other.

Pavlik said he is tired of Top Rank trying to use him like a puppet. If he went along with what they wanted that is exsactly what he would be doing he would be Top Ranks puppet again. I don't think he could of done it one more time you get to the breaking point and thats it. Top Rank has not looked after Pavliks best interest no doubt about it. They look at Pavlik and see Jerry Quarry or Gerry Cooney or even Gatti. Pavlik just wants to be Kelly Pavlik he wants to make his own path not go down a path that seems right because its seems the standard based on perception.

Your right the Abraham fight would have been a good fight for him. He never should have gone up in weight to fight Hopkins it was a no win fight at best. The Sergio Martiez fight was also a bad fight to take. Now one fight out of rehab they want him to fight Bute. I was telling another poster yesterday its funny how that Pavlik should fight Bute according to most people but if Floyd Mayweather fought and lost to Pacquiao and started drinking checked into rehab to get himself sober. His first tune up he looks a bit rusty and he was told to fight a tune up for 50 k then fight Sergio Martines for a million. Most people would think that is f*cked up. But Pavlik is told to do the same thing basicly by Top Rank and people act like he should take a 50k fight and then fight Bute for a million. Pavlik should for now be taking his time he is only 29.

He needed at least a tune up for Bute but he probably realized he needs a lot more. And at 29 whats his rush? You don't send a young talented fighter that needs to shake off some rust who don't need the money in with Bute or Ward. Unless you want to cash out on them.
