Pavlik does not fight at 168

Nobody is degrading anyone.

But Pavlik is the bigger guy against Taylor, the same Taylor who looked on equal size as Hopkins when they fought 2X. This same Hopkins is now fighting at 175, a division above Kessler.

A fight between Kessler and Pavlik at 168 puts neither at a distinct disadvantage, as Pavlik could very easily fight at that weight.
