Pavlik/Duddy Does Make Sense

    Pavlik fighting Duddy is BS. There's no way he fights this guy after the fight next month. Pavlik should be looking at AA, Sturm, or any other name of besided Duddy. I wouldn't mind if he was taking this fight right now or even later down the road - after Duddy fights someone on a higher level a Contender. There are bigger fights out there to be made and he should go full steam ahead. Let Duddy really earn his shot - just like most do.

    Here's what I read about Duddy's legal situation. John's attorney struck a deal with Irish Ropes that allows John to fight, but his earnings have to be held in an escrow account until the dispute is settled. Weird, but true.

    Still doesn't explain why Arum would promise him a title fight if Arum isn't his promoter though.

    He is the WBO #2 at the moment and can sell tickets at MSG. And "promise" may be a strong word at this point.

    If Pavlik-Abraham doesn't happen soon. Then it wouldn't be terrible to see Pavlik-Duddy.
