    411 Mania just reported that Top Rank is on their twitter page talking about Pavlik/Froch on October 3rd. I went to the twitter page, and it's there. When is Froch's first fight in the tourney? How would a Froch loss affect the tourney? He wouldn't be champ anymore.

    It would be great if this were true. Is Pavlik going to challenge for Froch's title or is this a catchweight? Top Rank has really dropped the ball on Pavlik's career over the past year. I won't believe it is happening until the broadcast starts.

    Believe it or not when this proposed the other day 165 was mentioned. It's getting stupid: you're the challenger so you don't dictate the terms! With Arum's money behind him he'll be going for any advantage possible, though.

    Froch said the other day that he expected to fight in Nottingham in early to mid-October in Nottingham.

    I suppose that time scale matches with what top rank say but I couldn't see Pavlik going to England to fight him.

    If neither Froch or Bute are involved in it, then it ****s the whole thing up imo.

    I'd still rather see Froch-Pavlik though.

    Yes it would. Remember when we had a poll? 50/50 nip and tuck, and the thread went like 20 pages. That might indicate this fight would be a huge seller.

    Another poster confirmed the date but said they aren't sure WHO will be involved. It won't be Sturm though.

    Weights and titles are arbitrary anyhow. If this is what it takes to make a good fight, so be it.
