"Pavlik still retained a title at the 154-pound weight class, and some experts think there is no marketability in the heavy-punching Pavlik maintaining that weight."

    What ****** wrote that article?

In comes the excuses, Pavlik was damn near 180lbs come fight night and got schooled by a small light middleweight.

And going supermiddle/light heavy is going to be disastrous for Pavlik as he obviously can't hang with those boys.

I knew there will be excuses once Pavlik lose again in which Pavlik did lose. First he was very ill in the Hopkins fight and now after he lost to Martinez that Pavlik was killing himself badly to make the weight. So if Pavlik lose in another fight, what will be the other excuse that he broke both his hands????

Not if he did it with pure sugar... ethanol better known as alcohol. :drink

With a Mid Western diet and binge drinking I am sure a guy his size can put that kind of weight on. Hard liquor and polish sausage sandwiches smothered in cheese and mayo! :hey

He's got a rematch clause for cryin' out loud!!!!Pav. is messing up big time. A guy that big making 160 needs to stay in shape all the time. If he had the full time discipline of Floyd Jr., he could continue @ 160 without too many issues. Pav. seems to have too many distractions to make that commitment though. His option is now 168? Good luck with that.

    [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u7n6yvLFZZw&feature=related[/ame]

Lowe: "Kell listen....You hav..You're givin' away these rounds"

Pavlik: Hard to understand what he said, but I have my suspiciions

    Lowe "Come on no...you can't...you ****in' can't!"

The comparison between rounds 2-3 vs Taylor and even as early as after round 2 vs. Martinez is pretty striking. After Taylors round 2, Pav. was pretty emphatic stating " I'm alright". I remember being very impressed with that. Against Martinez, after I believe round 2 he said, "He'll tire himself out", but there was so much less conviction. Best of luck Kelly.

There were concerns all along. Kelly showed up at camp a 'solid 185'. They thought they had it under control because he was pretty much losing on the old schedule. They didn't account for the extra muscle mass which they acknowledged he had gained. My posts are out there on this one.

He walked into the ring over 160 many times before the fight with Zuniga. I don't think he was ever comfortable making 160.
