I could see this one going either way, I either see Pavlik knocking him out early or Calzaghe winning by decision. After this fight Im convinced that Kessler dont hit as hard as Pavlik, but I think Kesslers better in every other aspect

Both of them probably knock Pavlik out , Pavlik's a good fighter but Kessler and Calzaghe are the best of the best from Light-Middleweight-heavyweight .

I'm sorry but Pavlik would be the underdog against either. I'd like to see it though as Pavliks a cracking fighter. Underdog maybe, but a live one certainly.

Exactly, and the people who hurl insults like children because they have the communication skills of a drunken 15 year old, and are all high on Joe at the moment, are mostly the same folks who said Pavlik was a bum who hadn't fought anybody and had no chance against Taylor. Tonights fight was okay, but certainly not great, and more importantly, it showed pretty clearly that Kelly Pavlik can in fact move up and dominate at 168 if he can't get big fights at 160. I said a long time ago that Pavlik would take Taylor's titles from him, and was the subject of much ridicule. Now I'm telling you that Pav can move up and clean house at 168. the move up is inevitable, so when the time comes we'll just see who wants to put their money where their mouth is.

This would be a very very tough fight for Kelly.

Pavlik would come up short against Kessler. Calazaghe would landslide him. Let Pavlik enjoy being a Middleweight champ before you put him in to be outclassed or knocked out by either of these two. Pavlik will destroy Taylor though if they fight at 166.

Pavlik is entertaining, but has zero defense. I don't see how a fight with Pavlik would turn out any more differently than the Lacy fight. It would be a lot more interesting to see how Joe does against a fighter who is known for controlling the pace and pushing the foul envelope like B-Hop.

The opinion of a desperate US poster ? No american MW/SMW boxer can beat Calzaghe (and Kessler). Live with that. Hopkins is too old, the judges would be impressed by the flurry of punches and Hopkins would lose by UD. Pavlik is young but technically inferior and Calzaghe is solid. If you want an american boxer to beat Calzaghe forget them.
Dawson at LHW maybe ? Not powerful enough. The real problems for Calzaghe would happen with a puncher like Bell at CW imo.

I had it 116-112. I think some people give JC rounds just for throwing twice the punches while Kess was landing some better power and same amount of punches but throwing half as much.

You Pavlik nuthuggers are getting out of hand. I would have no dog in this fight, but what Ive seen from both fighters I can honestly say that Calzaghe would make Pavlik look like a fool. Mikkel is a accurate hard puncher and even his best was not good enough against Calzaghe.

Calzaghe would shutout Pavlik, its not even a fair contest.

Just clueless american posting, not accepting that Calzaghe is better than any of their fighters from 160-175.
