Pavlik wouldn't beat Calzaghe. His only chance would be to hurt Calzaghe with a big right hand and follow it up to perfection. Unless Joe suddenly becomes a shot fighter, I highly doubt this happens.

    Calzaghe by TKO or UD

It's quite easy to tell that Pavlik isn't afraid to let his hands go like Kessler. Kessler quit mentally. Pavlik would break down Joe like every fighter before him. It would'nt last 8 rds. Joe would recieve the whiplash treatment courtesy of Kelly Pavlik..a wonderful site indeed:)

I really hope you are being sarcastic. Kessler went out in rounds 11 and 12 and tried his hardest to KO Calzaghe. Get some new ****ing glasses if you watched the fight.

Your user name should be yesineedglasses.

    1) If Pavlik weighed 220, then yes he would be the bigger man against Tyson.
    2) Clearly, a helluva lot bigger than Winky.
    3) Don't know where you got 180, HBO said 168 at fight time?

Muscle mass does not equate to him being a bigger man. If and when Pavlik moves up to SMW, he will easily be the bigger man. He will weight the same if not more, he'll be taller, and have a longer reach. BIGGER!:deal You forget or don't know, just how big Pavlik is to be fighting at 160.

they were 168 at WEIGH IN. Calz was 178 at fight time, Kessler was 180.

Kessler has a bigger frame than Pavlik AND more muscle mass. If they stood toe to toe, Kessler would be the more imposing.

Pavlik no doubt hits harder than Kessler as I see it. But he would be outboxed by either guy imo

You're right, but muscle mass doesn't always equate to punching power.

Being a true vulgarian is unnessesary. Kessler decided to do something in those rds. however not what he could have. It was easy to see that he was afraid to let go. Kessler didnt understand the fundamental idea that you have to respond with a better answer for Joe's punches or you simply wont win. Kesslers power was mute do to the fact he was fighting scared. Ultimately one of the things this fight illustrated is how much better Pavlik is at adjusting in a fight as well as ring intelligence. Let's face it Kessler fought a dumb fight. After the 5th rd. he looked like a grenade went off next to him. Regardless Pavlik throws more punches, has more power, and would cause plenty of problems for Joe the most important being the relentless punishment he would have to contend with.

And you know that Pavlik would be able to adjust and not get discouraged once he started getting tagged repeatedly by Calzaghe? Hell I don't know if Pavlik sees the 11th round to even try and get Calzaghe out of there.

11 rds are not nessesary. Pavlik KO 8th rd. WHIPLASH time. It would be pretty funny to watch Calslappy get put to sleep on his feet. Cheers mate!

What does a guy have to do to convince haters like you? He's clearly the best 160- 168lber in the word today.
