I hear what your saying. I guess Hop thinks that getting KP all pissed off for the "early" headbutt before they even step into the ring is gonna be to his advantage. Get Kelly hotheaded so he's off his normal game, going for the kill all the time. Well, he's highly mistaken. If anything, he just signed his own death warrant. To be honest if Pavlik fights wildly with emotion it would probably play right into Hopkins hands. He is going to have to use his head in this fight.

 

Oh ****.. Pavlik is pissed. I dont think Bhop wants to see him pissed. Bhop may be banking on making him get sloppy.

Has anybody noticed that everytime Hopkins is at a weigh in he waits until the other fighter is looking somewhere else then steps right up in there face when they are not expecting it. I see him do this everytime.

 

Agreed. This actually reminds me of Calzaghe-Kessler. Calzaghe managed to get Kessler to throw bombs and only bombs and to go for the kill all the time. Thereby his punch stats went down (which is natural because big bombs take out more energy) and Calzaghe managed to run away with the later rounds.

Pavlik needs to keep his head cold and fight like he usually does. Hopkins is not at all afriad of Kelly's powershots, he is afraid of his output. So if he can annoy Kelly so that he throws harder and les pucnes, then the number of punches will come down to a level where Bernard can be effective.
