So Pavlik beat JT twice, the 2nd time labouring to a points decision agaisnt the more skilfull flashy Taylor. Anybody who watched Cory Spinks fight JT knows that he deserved at least a draw.

This is why I can't understand why so many are dismissive of BHOP and Calzaghe's chances against the Ghost. They might be getting on in age but they are experienced proven campaigners.

Pavlik might achieve enough to be mentioned alongside these 2 in the future but as of now he's got it all to prove.

I rate Pavlik as a good strong fighter with a great attitude, in that he is willing to fight anyone, but I can see BHOP schooling him Sat night.

yeah ima have to agree .. i like pavlik he is a good fighter with a pretty good chin .. but your right his wins over JT where some what impressive so was the fight against edison marianda .. but i think BHOP will take this fight convincingly because he is good at putting away power puchers.. his timing is exceptional once he gets his rythm..Sat Night BHOP!!!

There is no way Hopkins would trade with him, and with Pavlik's all-assault offense, I would be surprise if Hopkins last for 12 rounds.

B-hop is too smart to go toe to toe with KP. He will do his usual hold and counter and I give b-hop a strong shot at a decision win. I wouldnt be suprised to see KP win by decision but not by KO. Even at 43 years old B-hop is still slick and cunning and knows how to slip in the illegal shot wihout getting caught. I really see the old man with one more possible win left in him.

Cory did beat JT, but that's not why B-Hop is going to beat Pavlik. Pavlik isn't a very skilled fighter. He's good but he's straight forward and he is hittable. Hopkins is going to take complete advantage of this and exploit it. Remember who we are talking about here. Hopkins will hit Pavlik everywhere(ask Winky). This man has a million tricks in his bag and he doesn't want to go out with a loss. And in my opinion, I felt B-Hop won the first JT fight as well. JT won the 2nd.

I agree for the most part, but I just can't see how Hopkins can eek out a decision victory unless he puts Pavlik down multiple times. Pavlik's output is too great, plus he's one of HBO's premier attractions. Pavlik's going to be given the benefit of the doubt by the judges.

Pavlik also KO'ed Edison Miranda in an impressive fashion.

People forget that Bernard took Taylor's soul and he was never the same fighter after the fights with Bernard. Before he met Hopkins, Taylor was a monster who knocked out everybody. After, he just lost his confidence and the belief in his ability, and it's evident from the post fight interviews and from his fights with Ouma and Spinks.
In a sneaky and nasty way, the old fox ruined Taylor's career. Every round Bernard threw punches, he outclassed Taylor, and Jermain damn well knew it and still knows it.

Why not, rightfully so. Everyone knows that if Pavlik were to beat Hopkins it will be a robbery for the HBO guy.
I hope you will be man enough to admit it as well.
I know Hopkins will outbox Pavlik, but because of the way boxing judges are I will never bet this fight.
