Interesting stuff from the former champion. He particularly goes over this conditioning concern in the last 3-4 minutes of the video.

Pavlik says he's noticed that GGG has faded in his last two fights, and he thinks GGG has significant issues with conditioning.

Pavlik favors Canelo in the fight. He thinks Canelo can build a points lead early, and then rack up more points late as GGG gets tired and fades.

    ...

I also believe that GGG is starting to have real conditioning issues in his career. But I think it probably has more to do with age than poor training. GGG's style relies on tremendous physical exertion (heavy pressure, power shots, taking punches to land your own shots). As you age, your cardiovascular capacity declines and you can't fight hard for 3 minutes per round over 12 rounds.

Will be interesting to see how this conditioning issue plays out tomorrow night.

By the way, Pavlik looks gigantic. He's 6' 2" tall and looks about 210 or so in this video. Huge guy.

Poor guy. Glad he seems to be doing ok these days.

Very talented fighter, just seemed to have trouble staying on-track in his career. And BHop didn't make things any easier. lol

I agree with him. I see Canelo absorbing punishment early but outboxing and outlasting GGG with pinpoint precision late to take a razor thin decision.

I think he ha's his fighters mixed up, if ggg is able to land his jab consistently, it will be Canelo fading.

GGG doesn't have huge output, high work rate anyway. He's patient, calculating & methodical, he slowly breaks you up! Any one who thinks that Golovkin fades or that he hasn't studied what Canelo may bring must be a pish head! Oh wait....

How do you fade in fights you win by TKO in 5 and take 3 of the last 4 rounds in a distance fight? This drunk is another Murican xenophobe with intrinsic issues against E.E.'s. hope he does not any neighbors from over there, he probably steals their gasoline and drinks it.

I see the exact opposite. I see Canelo outboxing GGG early until GGGs pressure starts to wear down Canelo and GGG starts to figure things out and eventually stops canelo.

Why suddenly is Kelly Pavlik all over this fight? Who is he working for?

How did he even get a ticket?

I don't think he fades badly. He made Jacobs work for every minute of their fight
