I think Joe can beat Pavlik but I do believe just to a certain extent that Enzo saw something in Pavlik when he fought Lockett that made him hesistant to put his son against Pavlik.

Pavlik should just be focusing on his fight with Hopkins. The trash talk should take place during the interview after the Hopkins fight. Well, that is if he wins.

When's the last time Pavlik brought nothing on fight night? if there is one guy who deserves to trash talk, it's him.

I think clowning on his dad, considering he's his trainer, IS funny. I didn't know The Ghost had it in him.

    No it's not.

Sure, Lockett is leagues behind Calzaghe, but it still shows how good Pavlik is, regardless of the opponent. For example, Enzo knows how good Lockett's chin was and when he saw Pavlik pulverise him he could have sat back and thought "This guy really does hit too hard. Joe can't take his power".

So the Lockett fight could have proven a lot for Enzo. If he knows how good Lockett was, he knows how good Pavlik is too. And maybe he underestimated the often unassuming Pavlik.

Pavlik is hungry, and Calzaghe is not, while I think Joe would remain the favorite in the fight, Calzaghe knows that Pavlik will be a handfull and Joe will really have to work those entire 12 rounds

Now that Calzaghe wants to retire, Pavlik should just let it go and move on. He did his best to get the fight but they didn't want it so they are the ones looking bad.

This is very much in line with my post and I feel Joe would beat Pavlik, but what Enzo saw in Pavlik was a beast plain and simple. And Enzo has justified his son not fighting Pavlik with very stupid reasoning saying that Pavlik best win was against Taylor and that Joe would beat Taylor so it's no use for Joe to fight Pav.
