Training started this Monday. Not sure when that interview was. Some of the quotes appear older. Not sure. And lets be realistic. No way any fighter can 100% concentrate on one guy 24/7. We ALL look ahead.

Taylor outpoints Joe. Neither seem to have a KO left in them and it is all about hand speed and scoring points. Taylor is faster. I've said before, had Joe just said "I have one more fight and it will be Jones" and then SHUT UP, he would have been much better off. When you try to look like your not ducking, it only draws attention to the fact that you ARE ducking. :deal

yeah i guesse joe must be petrafied, i mean kelly beat lockett, thats a big ask.

hang on a minute it smells too familiar, like 2 years ago familiar when everyone was saying how joes so scared of Kessler, how hes running faster than light away from him, Kelly Pavlik will lose to Joe Calzaghe if it goes ahead, i know so many of you hate joe but face it, joe will end up undefeated, joe will continously stick kelly on the outside, pummell him and win by a good distance.

It's funny the way team Pavlik is trying to bait Joe into a fight after the B-hop matchup.

But, Kelly needs to stay focused on the task at hand. B-hop is a very crafty old boxer. This is a very tricky match-up that I can see going either way. Joe Calzaghe should be the last thing on his mind right now!!

You could be right...I think the outcome of this fight depends on whether or not B-hop can still do it.

I can see B-hop frustrating Kelly by a lot of head and lateral movement with quick right hands up the middle. Kelly doesn't have the greatest chin in the world either. He should be very concerned.

But, I can also see kelly keeping B-hop on the end of his jab if he doubles or sometimes triples the jab. He needs to focus on cutting off the ring and not trying to hit "through" the target. If he stays poised and doesn't get frustrated, I can see kelly outlasting the executioner.

To me this fight is a toss-up.

I agree with Kelly, he's sees what happened more clearly then any of us. The biggest fight that could be made was dangled in front of him then all of the sudden was gone when he destroyed Lockett. I'm not saying Calzaghe is scared, but he's not willing to take the risk this late in his career.

I really don't think that Calzaghe sees kelly as much of a risk yet. I think most people, when they analyze Joes decision, assume too much. I think his desicion has everything to do with money and nothing else. If Joe wasn't afraid to fight Kessler or Lacy, i really don't see him being afraid of Pavlik.

If Joe wins against Pav it will be done on the inside, Pavlik is too good at controling distance and you don't want to be at the end of those shots.

Secondly Joe doesn't do much pummeling.

third Pavlik is not a walk over.

It kind of reminds me of Micky telling Rocky to steer clear of Clubber Lang in Rocky 3. Enzo had a front row seat to see what kind of fighter Pavlik is so why he would he want to put his son in with a guy like that? Pavlik might be onto something here.

I don't buy that...Calzaghe has seen enough where he wouldn't be afraid of someone like Kelly. Joe has the advantage in every variable except age and maybe power.
