Yes, they plan to release a single called "Summer boy" (sang by Joe) when the boxing is over.

"Summer Boy" in the recording studio built in the gym.

Yeah I kind of agree with that. I mean, there's levels & then there's levels, know what I mean? Gary Lockett & Joe Calzaghe are like chalk & cheese. Lockett has never been anywhere near Calzaghe's level.

However, one senses Pavlik really does want to box Calzaghe & that Joe may not have the same desire to make the fight. That's not me saying Calzaghe is ducking or avoiding Pavlik, because at this stage of Joe's career its all about making as much money as possible. That's his sole goal, his motivation. He's even said as much!

Pavlik should be more concerned with Bernard Hopkins on Oct. 18th. That's not a forgone clonclusion Pavlik wins by any means. I don't care what anybody says, Bernard Hopkins is still an elite level fighter. Yes, he's 43, but the way he keeps himself in shape is allowing him to continue boxing at the highest level.

In boxing Hopkins, Pavlik is going up against a guy who is a smart, cagey fighter, knows the tricks of the trade. Hopkins will do anything he can to unsettle Pavlik, is very much in-experienced compared to Bernard. Pavlik will need to be at his best come Oct. 18th. If Pavlik worries about the winner of Calzaghe-Jones too much & takes Hopkins lightly, an upset in likely to be on the cards!

Calzaghe was all about fighting Pavlik for the longest. All of a sudden, after the Lockett fight, the talk stopped. Calzaghe and his father then tried to claim the Pavlik isn't worthy of a shot, and that he has to win 5 or 6 titles before they'll consider fighting him. Interesting that they also wanted to fight Taylor before he fought Pavlik. However, they don't want to fight the guy that beat Taylor. Maybe it's all just a coincidence.

Sounds to me like Kelly Pavlik is beginning to read his own hype, and that is a terrible thing for a fighter to do.

I believe both Joe Calzaghe and Bernard Hopkins, either in their respective primes or today, would beat Pavlik by decision.
