Pavlik: " I want Williams / Martinez winner next"

Yeah like he was really gonna allow himself to be jerk around for a fourth time.

Kelly's people were crying about him not being 100%. So they pull out.

Suddenly he gets a "tomato can" opponent and he's all better. Ha thats pathetic.

 

any real fan of boxing wants to see this fight. if you use this news as a platform to spout hate, we'll thats just too bad.

 

Of course people want to see the fight. However, had Williams pulled the exact same stunt that Pavlik did, Pavlik fans would be up in arms. I'll give Pavlik the benefit of the doubt, but you have to expect a backlash with all things considered.

Look at these quotes;

That's funny, right after the fight Pavlik said Hopkins wasn't crafty at all. Now all of a sudden Hopkins is one of the craftiest fighters ever.

"Because of the injury, we were looking to push the fight back three weeks or another month and they didn't want to hear it. The reason we are fighting two weeks after, on the 19th, is because the organizations came down and said I had to fight or they were going to strip me of my titles. I wouldn't be fighting until the end of January if it wasn't for that. They can say what they want. Williams knows that I wanted to fight him but he wants to keep that whole 'I'm the most feared fighter' thing going."


Anyone else see the contradiction here? He claims he wanted to push the Williams fight back 3 weeks(which would put the fight on Christmas), and then claims that if it weren't for the orgs, he wouldn't fight until the end of January. At least one part of that quote is a lie.

 

So he because he said that he's not ducking?

Guess what?, Margarito said he wants the entire Welterweight division in the ring against him the same night.

 

They told PW to postpone until January, becus he had a LIFEnDEATH injury staph infection etc...

From PW view he was getting jerked around with UNCERTAIN dates...so he moved on with a DEFINITE HBO DATE/fight. (mans gotta earn a living!)

Then later on...out the blue...Pavliks fighting some dude 2 weeks after a showdown date with Williams.

Go figure ....:nut

I don't blame Williams for moving on, but on the other hand Pavlik isn't ducking anyone. I have to wonder if Pavlik is 100%, an infection like that doesn't heal overnight. Anyone have any news on that? seems like they haven't said didly about his hand in camp, which could be a bad thing, u'd think after that if it was good, they would be telling everyone it is good, but I haven't seen anything saying so. It is like it disapeared.

 

More bull****! Pavlik did not say BHop isn't crafty. He said that isn't why he got his ass handed to him. It was some hater on you tube that claimed Pavlik said that, and titled a vid after his lie. And now posters on ESB love to parrot that lie.

There is no contradiction in what KP said about the time frame. If you expect a prize fighter to be precise in his language, you're in for a lot of disappointments. Furthermore, Team Pavlik did ask to reschedule one more time. AFTER Goosen said no, they decided not to fight until after the first of the year. AFTER they made that decision the WBC and WBO started making noise about stripping KP. Arum was in the process of setting up a Latin Fury card and offered Kelly a spot on the card against a Latino he can beat with one good hand.

 

Fine. He said Hopkins wasn't that good and that Hopkins' craftiness had nothing to do with him losing. Which begs the question of why he would mention how crafty Hopkins is if his craftiness didn't come into play in their fight.

He said 3 weeks to a month, then he said he didn't want to fight until the end of January. I'm guessing Pavlik graduated high school. Therefore, I can't believe that he would think that the end of January is only 3 weeks to a month after Dec. 5th. Furthermore, many Pavlik fans have been claimng that they offered to fight Williams Dec. 19th. That's also clearly contridicts Pavlik's own statment.
