Pavlik didn't "back out". He asked for another postponement because he still couldn't make a fist, and Team Williams (understandably) went elsewhere.

Pavlik then wanted to wait 'till February to fight, but the organisations threatened to strip him if he didn't fight someone. So he picked an opponent he could beat with half a training camp.

Nice excuse, that had merit. Until Abraham moved up in weight and is now fighting in a tournament that holds some of the best Super middleweights in boxing. While Pavlik is still in a crappy division fighting nobodies. So whose cherrypicking now.

So your evidence for Pavlik "ducking top opposition" is that he wasn't invited to a tournament run by Kalle "the oligarch" Sauerland?

Well, if he's capable of fighting the tomato can why didn't he just fight Williams a few days earlier? This crap doesn't even pass the laugh test. "I can't fight a legitimate opponent so I'm going to charge you money to see me fight another tomato can." Ridiculous. If it's merely a necessary defense to keep his belt then it should be free on espn, not ppv.

Where did I say that? I said Abraham was tired of Pavlik ducking him so he moved up in weight and is gonna take on tougher competition. While Pavlik is staying at a crappy division and doesn't even want to fight the toughest competition(Williams) available.

Yeah thats why Andre Ward just beat the crap out of Mikkel Kessler. Because Sauerland told him too even though Kessler is his priced fighter. And Ward is promoted by Goosen.

Man first "near death reports" and "now rig tournaments". You Pavlik fans are getting really desperate.

personally i dont use the term ducking. i just hope he stays healthy for the fight to come to fruition and come fight night he is still healthy so it wont be an excuse as to his **** poor performance like it was for the hopkins fight.

no dont tell me he was actually sick and that you have the records and video of him at the pharmacist picking up meds.

sick or not he wouldve gotten his butt whooped and maybe march or may timeframe next year we can see him in against a quality opponent with no excuses.

i dont agree with your comments on ward's beating of kesller(wasnt the headbutts that led him to victory or even had a huge part of it)I 100 percent agree with you here. Pavlik will handle his business

Pavlik gets way too much sh*t round here. The guy's got an unfortunate injury that's holding him back. He'll fight the winner of Williams-Marinez next year sometime without batting an eyelid.

So what? Get in the ring with a live fighter Pavlik. No Williams, no Abraham. He has to prove himself in the ring. That hasn't happened in a long time.

He can always make a living on Top Rank PPV against guys we have never heard of but his fans defend because an organization has them ranked in their top 10.

He was sick against Hopkins. He was sick for Williams, and then again. How many times do we need to hear it?

It doesn't matter about the injury. He has been unprofessional in taking care of it and signing fights he couldn't actually fight.

He's got to get it together next year because he has been going nowhere for quite a while. He should shut his mouth and do something. He got beat up by a senior citizen for ****sake!

If it walk, talks, acts like a duck, it's a DUCK! Just admit it!

I used to think Abraham was the one ducking, but it turns out it was Pavlik and Top Rank all along.

In the past you always claimed you picked Hopkins to beat Pavlik because BHop is such a great fighter. Now you claim Bernard is just some "senior citizen." You're pathetic Jeff, and your hypocrisy knows no bounds.

    What about your hypocrisy?

Your hate for AA is easily as bad, if not worse than anyone's for Pavlik.

    Pot meet Kettle.

Pav is prob praying for Martinez to pull the upset. And lucky for Kelly, Martinez just might.
