even if on fight night it's the winky that narrowly lost to B-hop shows up, i think he can beat both pw and pavlik. hopefully winky hasn't lost a step so it can be competitive

There is plenty of money in the AA fight especially if he goes to Germany where they hold the fights in bigger venues.

If he wants to be king at MW he should take on his only rival in the MW division and worry about his p4p ranking afterwards.

aa needs pavlik more than pavlik needs aa

so going to germany is out of the question..... and if hbo are the one's making this fight im 100% sure they would rather match up kp with pw or winky before aa....

all aa is known for is ko'ing miranda..... i hate to say it but unless they establish a name inside the states... anyone from outside the states or a latin american country will just be looked at as a bum

No top fighter is going to fight on Saurland's terms. Well, unless they are HIS fighter.

First, Pavlik saw Abraham/Miranda I, and said he will never fight in Germany.

Second, folks on here need to take a deep breath and untwist their panties! Both AA and KP have stated clearly that they will not leave 160 without trying to unify. As long as the fight happens by the end of '09, I think they will both be fine as far as weight issues are concerned.

Third, Arum wants to give KP/AA the kind of hype and build up it deserves. He wants both guys on the same show before they face each other. I would not be surprised to see Arthur on the undercard of Pavlik/Wright-Williams.

    true.....

but these people outside the states really dont get how americans in the boxing community view the euro guys.... until they have cemented their name in the states their just viewed as like C level fighters...

i respect aa because he came to florida to do his thing against miranda

im hoping he fights some more in the usa to earn the respect he deserves.. he even tried to speak enlglish in the post fight interview (english was horrible) but it showed to me he knows whats going on

If Paul doesnt hurt Winky early then I dont see him coming out on top. At 160 lbs Winky is very hard to beat, and I dont think Williams has the skill to out box him for 12 rounds so he better bring the power and bring it all night.

well put. i called that loos but it had nothing to do with preperation . it had to do with his lack of solid fundamentals. he wasn't sittting on his punches and was pitty patting the jab. he would also lunge in when throwing his punches negating his height and reach advantage. it seems he has since fixed this issue and has been impressive since that loss. i was him main critic and he is improving . not on the bandwagon yet but will see if he continues with these improvement at the high level.

IMHO his style is all bad for winkey. he thows punches from to many angles and has a high work rate that has always spelled trouble for winkey. plus he almost 6'2 another woe for winkey.

i actually pick PW to win this fight and by stoppage in the 10th round. with winkey looking beat up with a cut and on his ass.

sooner you guys start looking at the fact winky is a 38 year old junior middleweight and quit thinking hes the same guy that schooled mosley years ago you will be better off.
winkys body is already breaking down as evidence in his cancellation of last fight...winky is done and will get beaten soundly by paul williams....much less having a chance against pavlik

I was just going to post that people need to stop with "Winky IS....." cuz we have no idea what he IS at the moment. Winky was fighting something like two fights a year for a long time. This is a long layoff even by his standard.
