Pavlik in October, Arum says Kessler/Bute easiest to make.

Froch is a pretty decent mover for as much as he likes to stand and fight. And Kessler would just plain run over Pavlik.

HBO negates need for a big gate. Many promoters put on cards just for the TV money alone. Of course there is always Denmark.

Froch wants Kessler and I think it will happen if they can put an acceptable financial package together for him to come to the UK.

Bute is the most likely I think, he needs a solid opponent to get back into the swing of things.

Knowing Arum, "none of the above" is probably the most likely.

Once Pavlik vs Bute would've been #1 Ranked MW vs #1 Ranked SMW... the best out of two divisions, if Kelly would have beaten Sergio Martinez back then. Now it's so much smaller that what it once could have been.

The gate is still important, and I can't see TR taking this fight to Denmark. The more I think about it, the more I know neither of those fights will happen.

I'm starting to think its more likely we see Glen Johnson if he wins impressively on FNF's this week. That seems like a smarter measuring stick at 168 for Pavlik right now anyways, then if he wins he will be in line for something bigger, and there should be a lot of big 168 pound fights to be made next year.

I would rather see him fight someone like Andrade next. I think Bute and Kessler are a big step up from Rosinsky. It would be interesting to see how Pavliks power effects someone like Andrade.

Pavlik have fought Alfonso Lopez, Aaron Jaco, Scott Sigmon and Will Rosinsky in his last fights. It's about time he steps up.

I think it would be a step up. Andrade has been in there with good fighters and it would be a good measuring stick type fight. Fan friendly fight also.

Gotta be Pavlik vs Bute in Montreal. Bute still has a fight with Showtime and Arum is looking to score some cash off of Kelly for a change.

Without that trinket, Bute is more likely to give a better split of the dough to KP which may bring nearly 2 mil for a non title fight.

Also, KP would be a perfect tuneup/comeback fight for Lucian Bute b/c his style is very similar to Froch's except KP dont have than iron chin and iron will that Froch has. That L hand that Bute landed on Froch in the 1st wouldve likely sent Kelly into retirement.:good

Not sure if Andrade isn't a tad shot now with his style.

Or Bute shows us more of the whimpering/whipped puppy imitation.

is it just me or does Pavlik seem to be fighting like a smaller man more than he did before since training with Garcia. Not sure but it seems he used to get more leverage on his punches which developed more power before. Anyway, I dont think Kessler would be much threat neither Bute (correction) but he still needs 2 fights more before getting there imo.

think how Froch got to Bute with pressure (also Andraded in their first fight). I believe stylistically Pavlik holds the advantage. As for Kessler, he's just not that good. that fight would be fun while it lasted though.
