22 of 23 International reporters at ringside had Kessler winning. An unusual agreement among reporters from all over the world.

The punch stats were:
Kessler - Total Thrown: 765, Total Connects: 147 (19%)
Froch - Total Thrown: 546, Total Connects: 98 (18%)
Overwhelmingly clear to land about 50% more punches.

Kessler won on all three scorecards obviously as well.

On ESB more than 90% had Kessler winning the fight. This is an overwhelming majority for ESB standards.. much more than most other clear wins get. Even a majority of English boxing fans agreed that Kessler won. So only the most extreme Froch fans (or people who has never seen the fight) would dream of arguing that Froch actually won.

Sure the fight was competitive and a great battle but there is really no way Froch won that fight.

I too had Kessler winning. But that fight was damned close and could have gone either way. I reckon had the fight been in Nottingham Froch would have won.

90%? i remember there being quite a few people claiming Froch won in these parts.

The gate is still important, and I can't see TR taking this fight to Denmark. The more I think about it, the more I know neither of those fights will happen.

I'm starting to think its more likely we see Glen Johnson if he wins impressively on FNF's this week. That seems like a smarter measuring stick at 168 for Pavlik right now anyways, then if he wins he will be in line for something bigger, and there should be a lot of big 168 pound fights to be made next year.

Glen Johnson would beat Pavlik imo. He should take a big fight if he's going to fight someone dangerous.

Exactly correct. No way Bute takes on someone like Pavlik before the Froch re-match. He needs a "tune up" fight to get his confidence back. If he loses to Pavlik, most likely fans would lose any and all interest in the rematch. Except for in Montreal and in Nottingham. So the PPV would be very low.
