Pavlik was not "half drunk." The issue was bronchitis. That was reported on extensively by no less a figure than Thomas Hauser. Every member of team Pavlik tried to get KP to postpone the fight, but I'd advice you not to say much about that. If you do, you will get a least 100 responses that all say you are a liar, and a fool who does nothing but make excuses. This is ESB. Tighten up son!

If this was 2008 then you would be right. But now, this is an easy fight for Ward

I believe that but for me once you make the decision to go ahead with the fight you lose the right to make excuses about it afterwards if things don't go your way. I don't remember Pavlik saying anything in the interview about it after the fight it was more his trainer later on and his fans.

It's like the Martinez loss too, nothing before the fight then after he gets beat it was weight drain and booze. I'm not saying this stuff didn't affect him because it probably did but if you think your fit enough to go through with the fight then no excuses.

I'm guessing by your avatar that you lost an avatar bet on the Martinez-Chavez Jr. fight. If so, maybe you should start going against what you think :think.

No sir you are wrong about Kelly so please stop. Kelly goes from alcohol to crack on this one buddy. Your foolishness may cause a human being to possibly die. Ward "decimates" Pavlik.

he was in rehab 10 days before the fight and this has never been denied.

i bet on kp in that fight and like almost everyone, knew nothing of this. i was hoping for kp to beat his problems as i think he would bring great value but its not happening and he is on my fade list.

more than likely theyre cashing out on kp. theyre looking for the biggest fight that will generate the most amount of money as they dont trust him in the ring with anyone now that he is back on the sauce.

look whats going on with canelo. they dont want to risk him against anyone not named mayweather or cotto, both who are blown-up welterweights. alvarez might as well lose against them than all the other legit jm's out there that could probably beat him or make him look bad.

Yup, Pavlik is a real bad fight anyone. When he is on top of his game he can deal out the punishment like nobody in the business.

That said Ward is a great great figter and Pavlik has to be considered the underdog.

I like Pavlik, but let's keep it real. He struggles against fighters that have elite skills.

Bhop was well into his old man stages and he still managed to beat him. Martinez didn't stay still long enough for Pavlik to hit him. Pavlik's claim to fame is beating Jermaine Taylor. And even though Taylor had a very good jab, he beat him the essentially the same way that Froch did.
