J.S: Do you think the fans are ready for a new champion at middleweight to replace Taylor? K.P: I think so. The fans like a guy who likes to fight and wants to fight. I plan on sticking around at middleweight for quite a while too. I want the other belts. You cant just opt for the big money fights in boxing. You know, theres always going to be money there anyway. I want to take on the other guys out there as well, not just pick the big money bouts.
Pavlik is cool, but it's not like Taylor isn't fighting good opposition. Case and point, he is fighting Pavlik. Taylor is unconcerned about the other belts cuz they are rightfully his anyways. He is the Lineal undisputed champion. Hopkins lost to Taylor, no one else.
He gave props to Taylor. . . my point is more directed to certain other boxers who cherry pick opponants and act as if the world owes him the biggest money fights in history. . . should be to hard to pick him out. Hint: Hes a yellowbelly coward and her name rhymes with Boyd Dayweather :yep
31-0, 28 KO's against some guys that have never been down in their careers before, wind up getting KO'ed by Pavlik isn't hype. He's the real deal. A natural fighter & an intelligent one, too. Its gonna be a great fight...while it lasts.
Pavlik is indeed good for boxing , a quality fighter that is very exciting to watch , which is what we need more of in the sport . I'm also glad that should he win he'll stay around at Middleweight and try establish a legacy there . It looks like he wants to fight Arthur and Sturm which is a good thing . If Pavlik wins he will be the true Middleweight champ , and for me the #1 contender would just happen to be the IBF champ . So where as unification wouldn't be that important in this sense(especially seeing as the IBF would probably strip Pavlik in no time) it would be the champ facing the number one contender . That's a much better scenario than Taylor winning , vacating one of the true titles that we actually have and become a sacrificial lamb to Joe Calzaghe(that's should Calzaghe beat Kessler which imo he will) .
Indeed. We need more fighters like Pav. :yep Makes sense. If he has all ther bets . . . then the money fights comes in.
Overhyped . . . only in this board buddy . . . but in reality he is trying to earn respect that's why he's fighting the top competitions.
If Mayweather Was Ko'in Guys Like Pavlik Is Than Mayweather Would Be Well Respected By All. What The F Is Mayweather On This Topic? Pavlik Is What Boxing Needs. A Fighter Who Is In It For More Than Just The Money!!!!!!! Period!
Pavlik is great for boxing. He wants to fight the best (as does Taylor) and he has a very crowd pleasing style.
Good point. Anyone can say in an interview that they want to fight the best and aren't worried about making big money fights. It's another thing to actually do it. Pavlik has padded his record by beating C and D level fighters. When Pavlik starts beating good fighters on a consistent basis, that's when people should be singing his praises. Until then it's just talk
