Pavlik is exactly what boxing needs!!!

The irony is that people expected Pavlik to get knocked out by Miranda using the exact same reasoning you're using for the Taylor-Pavlik fight. Well, Miranda had been in with better competition than Pavlik- and look where that got him.

 

Man, considering all the hype Pavlik has received for having one meaningful fight against a completely one dimentional contender, I'd say the only "Hope" in this equation isn't black.

BTW They should sticky the Pavlik threads for the delusional Euros (and Americans) who keep complaining that it's impossible for white fighters to get respect from the majority of American fans.

Man, do I feel like an ass. If I'd read this post first, I wouldn't have bothered responding to you at all. You have to be trolling.

 

You have to read what people write instead of making assumptions. Not once in this thread have I made a prediction as to who is going to win the Taylor/Pavlik fight. Nothing that I wrote even pertained to the fight. The point I was making was that people are saying that Pavlik is great for the sport because he says that he wants to fight the best. However,to date, his resume is filled with bums. Does this mean he can't beat Taylor? Of course not. I was only trying to illustrate that he should start beating good fighters on a consistent basis before people start praising him as some sort of saviour to the sport.

 

I'm guilty of jumping prematurely to a conclusion, my bad. The spirit of my post still stands, just don't apply it to your post if the shoe doesn't fit. And, McKart, Zertuche, and Miranda are good fighters- that Pavlik destroyed. Jermain will make Kelly's 4th fight in a row of stepping up the caliber of his opponents, and the caliber's don't come much higher than Taylor- who I respect even though I rag on him from time to time.

He hasn't fought Taylor's level of competition- but he'll remedy that by KO'ing Taylor himself on the 29th. :hey

 

Great post JetSki, I couldn't agree more. Pavlik has EARNED twice fold every bit of attention he is finally recieving. He has been brought along very well and is now 25 years old with a stellar record and is ready for the big times.:hat

Somebody needs to get a thread going for all the ESB guys that are going to the fight in AC. This way, until fightweek gets here, we can constantly hype eachother up until it gets unbearable & we can't absolutely wait for FIGHTNIGHT to come 9-29-07!!!
