Abraham is only 5'9 so either way he's gonna be fighting a small guy anyway lol. If you want him to fight taller guys theirs the supper middleweight division. How about Kessler, Bute, Andrade, Froch, Bika, and hell go back to light heavyweight and fight Chad Dawson. All those guys are legit six footers.

Taylor fough Hopkins for 24 rds
    Winky for 12
    Pavlik 2 tough fights
    Lacy

What more do you want? He fought Ouma and Spinks when there wasn't much else he could do.

I'll be very disappointed if Pavlik doesn't fight Abraham next . . . of course if Abraham wanted the fight . . . if not then we can't blame Pavlik.

I wouldnt consider myself a Taylor fan but I cant understand the crap his record gets , He beat Hopkins twice and while Ouma , Spinks and Winky were all smaller guys they were also very good fighters in there own way , Spinks and Winky must be two of the most frustrating guys in the world to fight and you could hit Ouma with a truck and he'd still be coming at you.

I dont get why amserican fans don't give him more respect ?

I do however think Carl Froch is gonna beat him !

Uhhmmmm......NO. I don't think so. But you DID ask how PAVLIK got his shot at Jermain, no? Well sir, that is exactly how he did it. :yep My answer was to the BOLD part of your quote. How did you manage to spin that into this?? LOL.

No. It was you with the spin! The question wasn't whether Kelly deseved the shot or not, of course he did. The Q to Boo simply was how's that Pavlik deserved to fight World MW Champ Taylor beating Zertuche, Zuniga, McKart and Miranda AND Abraham not deserving it beating Jantuah, Eastman, Miranda*2, Ikeke and Gevor - which I think Boo is trying to tell us.

All right-e. I see your point now. BUT, it still goes back to the simple answer of Pavlik made himself Mandatory to Taylor.

You know as well as I do, as fooked up as boxing gets some times, that NO ABC Organization ranks other oganizations CHAMPS. The only way for it to become MANDATORY is for either the RING to start forcing them, or AA to find a way to become Mando to Pavlik...

NOW, I do agree with you that it should not have to come to this, but what can we do? They are 1 and 2 in the Ring rankings and peoples personal rankings, but not by any ABC. Hopefully, we get to see the damned fight, everybody wants it.:yep

WTF with Duddy not ranked? ESB has him 7. WBO 2. IBF 7. WBC has him 3 but at 154. I guess the most respected of them all, the WBA doesn't have him ranked, but their rankings are months old so we will go with that one? BB. Is your bias showing because Duddy is announced as the most likely next opponent?

No one can make a good case for not fighting AA right now IMO. I dont acknowledge Strum because he is a paper title holder avoiding tough fights like Erdei.

Fight was great. Pipe was 6 rows back. I was much further away, but the seats were still good. I had considered binoculars, but even with $100 seats they were too close for that.

The fight looked a lot closer in person. Rubio was still throwing shots late that looked like they could be trouble if they landed. In person Rubio appeared to have a much better round. Actually had me worried a little, but that could have been more partisanship than anything. ;) (Pipe caught Mike Pavlik's attention at the end and said Mike made the brow wipe gesture as if he had been a little worried too) My son is a better analyst than I am. He said Rubio had a very good defense. Going back helped diffuse a lot of the shots. He worked Pavlik into openings but couldn't pull the trigger. Pavlik got away with it though on the ropes because of reach. Now think AA. :hey I had the perfect look at Rubio at the end of the 9th. I remember thinking to myself it was a good thing the action ended up in his corner cuz he looked like he didn't want to even take the few steps he had to his stool. On the other hand I wanted to see him walk further so I could gage how he looked. We soon found out.

    My bad on the poll.

Deserving a fight has nothing to do with what happened. HBO picked Pavlik to make Miranda look good. Their plan was to turn Miranda into a big star, but they forgot to send Kelly a copy of the memo. The plan backfired, HBO got caught with **** in their britches, and the rest is history.
