There's no doubt Taylor ( with his mind right) will beat this guy next time. He's a kamikazee fighter with no defence and those guys always eventually come unstuck. Nearly every fight I have seen the guy in he's just wading in throwing haymakers with no idea about defence. Taylor should have beaten him easily last time out but Taylor beat himself.
Pavlik I am sure is a nice guy but a long term Champion he aint and anyone that thinks differently needs their head examined.

    Cheers:bbb

I agree. He is very good at what he does, but given his style and lack of defence (and shaky chin) he is gonna get beat as soon as he faces an elite fighter with a good chin. Anyone who picks him to beat Calzaghe is plain ******ed, and I dont think he could beat Bhop either. In fact I think Taylor will win the rematch.

On the plus side though, he hits really hard, has a nice jab and a good workrate. He has a punchers chance againt anyone and will beat anyone who is not elite, (and some elite guys as well) He seems a good guy and is generating interest, so he is defo good for boxing.

If you are basing your analysis that 'Pavlik has an iron chin' on ''shaolin box's'' sarcastic comment, then clearly you have just been found out. If not, then you dont know what you are talking about and clearly did not see the Taylor fight.

well the fact Taylor was avaliable at 2/1 in the rematch suggests Pavlik is being overrated...and Taylor getting underrated...a bit of both.
Pavlik hasnt done much wrong though has he? It's more Taylor getting written off way too soon....and without Steward he should be better.

That statement shows either your ignorance of boxing knowledge or your hate for Pavlik. Maybe both. Kelly has excellent punching technique, never throws Jeff Lacey type haymaker punches, so I'd advise you to shut up before you continue making an ass of yourself.

    Have a good day.:!:

I have more boxing knowledge than most. I dont HATE anyone. Im a boxing fan and voicing an opinion. You might come from a society where it appears a great idea to hate people but i dont. The guy has a lot of guts but is not a top quality fighter. In fact he's a perfect indictment as to how the game has slipped in recent years.
Thanks for the advice but i'll refrain from ' Shutting Up' if it's all the same to you bruiser.

I dont hate Kelly Pavlik. I have my reservations, I have seen weaknesses which can be exploited by the fighters around him. I do not expect him to hold the title long and in fact picking Taylor to win the rematch.

I also think he struggles to beat the top 168 boys, Id pick Calzaghe, Kessler and Bute to beat him.

Exciting fighters get people excited so therefore they are more likely to have some over zealous fans who are going to prophecise on how their man is the best thing since edible knickers.

Im not sold on him. :bart

If anybody gets into a slugging match with Pavlik chances are they are going to lose. If you want to beat Pavlik you have to out box him. Somebody will come along who can do it.

100% correct...and the reason is he doesn't know how to box to the level where titular longevity can be expected.

im surprised how he is ranked top 3# american pound 4 pound absolutly bizaar.

onlu 2 men on ehis reocrd are reall creidble and taylor was not an elite fighter as we all thought he was going to be. and miranda in a slufest is gonna be beaten by the taller higher workrate of pavlik.

Taylor could of and probably should of won but he lacked the killer instinct and pavlik was intelligent and held on. When Pavlik caught Taylor, Taylor didn't know what to do and Pavlik know's how to finish.

Pavlik is an exciting fighter and that is why he is over rated but I am pretty confident Taylor will beat him in the re-match and both would be comfortably beaten by Calzaghe.
