Has Taylor ever fought above 160? I looked over at BoxRec, but the web site is not working correctly.

This could matter. Other than Taylors mental state, it's really the only unknown for fight #II. If it improves Taylor's stamina that would obviously be very good for him. Pavlik already has the stamina, maybe it will make his great recooperative powers even greater. Then how it effects both their punch power and ability to take punches may come into play.

One other thing. How's Pavlik's cut hand doing?

I'm still rooting and betting on Pav.

Pavlik has a larger frame, I think he could carry the weight better.

Good post. A big component of physical talent for boxing is stamina, which Pav. has an abundance of and Taylor lacks. Punching himself out in round 2? If that's really what happened, Taylor is seriously flawed and his stamina issue is major. We'll have to see if moving up in weight helps Taylor in this department.

His hands are fine. The media blew it out of proportions. 100+ stiches...:-(

It was less than 20 stiches & he got the medical go ahead to train a few weeks before Xmas.

    (((((((((((GO PAVLIK)))))))))))

Okay-- I guess I'm not done with this thread. The Original poster said that Pavlik "just wades in throwing haymakers." That statement is so ludicrous I want to address it one more time. Remember the 4 fighters I mentioned in my first post on this thread? The were Zuniga, McKart, Miranda, and Taylor. Who ever beat any one of those guys by "wading in throwing haymakers?" Answer: NO ****ING BODY!!!! If Kelly had tried that against McKart, Bronco would have boxed his way to a pretty clear UD. Try that with Zuniga and he'll box your ****ing ears off and knock you out in 10 or 11 rounds. Try it with Miranda and you would be playing his game, and he would win. If Kelly had tried that with Taylor, JT would have handed him his ass in every round. The reason they all got Pavlikated is because Kelly has sound fundamentals, a great jab, often throws text book perfect combinations, has great accuracy, and one of the best lead rights in the business.

I think we have finally found UnbeatableFloyd's biological father. It's McGuigan!!

    Now I'm done:deal

 Yeah, thats was a foolish statement (haymakers:yep ) that McGuigan made & he said he has 40 yrs experience watching boxing. Go back to page 1 of this thread & see how I jumped all over him for that one.

I think JT would benefit a bit more, his stamna issues should be much better at 166.

I'll say this. I bet on Kelly in the first fight. But if the odds are whacked I might not bet this time. Jermain has gotten no better in 3 years. He hasnt looked good in a fight in 3 years(maybe more) and Pavlik has been very impressive over his last 2. Taylor isnt nearly as coordinated as the ghost. Kelly isnt as quick but is much sharper in his skill then JT

It'd be interesting to see how he'd do against Miranda.

he is a unified champ with a win over a top ten pound for pound guy, undeafeated...with a very high ko percentage..in other words...you're an idiot.
