Pavlik still has the title and hasn't retired yet. He has, or should, have tons of more fights before his career is over. First Pavlik can't be stopped and will go down as the Greatest Middleweight of all time, then he loses to Hopkins and all of a sudden he sucks. lol some people are bi-polar.

He chose him mainly because, like many others, he thought he was through, after watching Calzaghe dispose of him.

He thought he could do what Calzaghe did, and land a truly big name on his resume.

(At this point, that's something he's still lacking.)

So we can ignore your earlier posts ridiculing the Dec Date?

    :rofl

Both fights could have been awarded either way, or even draws.
Despite the furore of many on here, DEFINITELY no robbery took place.

Re the second fight, IF Bernard thought he won the first fight, he had every reason to correct his weak performance in the second. That they were very similar, tells me that Hopkins couldn't do any better than he did against Taylor.

(I had both 115-113 against him, but wouldn't have been surprised or dismayed if he were given both by the same margin. Some close rounds.)

Pavlik might still have a long way to go so it's a bit premature to render a verdict on him.

But from what he's done so far, it's clear he's been a bit overhyped, and if he retired tomorrow, his career would be weak, consisting mainly of unfulfilled promise.

He has a great opportunity to get back on track if he can beat Williams.

    Time will tell.

the comparison above is annoying becuase it's not pavlik's fault that the 160 division today is the worst ever along with the hopkins' days 160. are you sure it's pavlik's fault that a fight with aa never materialized ? pavlik fought hopkins at 170 DURING his 160 days.
he didn't even intend on moving up. that was only because he had no fights at 160.

Agreed, Pavlik is a bum, how anyone gave him a sniff of hope against Calzaghe is beyond me.

who cares about Gary Lockett, if you consider him a worthy opponent, then no wonder you rate Pavlik.

Besides, if you want to make it down to nationality, hows Hopkins? didn't Calzaghe bust him up?

P.S Your NFL team is full of pansies.

LOL I'd like to see degale fight Pavlik, Degale would whallop him.
