Noone could ever know for sure. Pavlik, for all his limitations, has very good power at middleweight, easily enough to spark out someone with as weak a chin as Jacksons. I think BooRadley was referring to Edison Miranda when he mentioned that Pavlik thrives on fighters like Jackson. Jackson is a lot better than Miranda but i can see the comparisons.

Either way someone gets KTFO early. **** it, i'll go Jackson KO 3

Pavliks power is perhaps the most overrated thing in boxing right now. Ask Rubio.

Jackson was certainly smaller than Pavlik but I was stating that Pavlik does not have the terrible power of McClellan. The only two people to beat Jackson in his prime were McCallum and McClellan. McClellan was a HUGE middleweight and had more one punch power than Pavlik; Pavlik has a lot of pop but is more of a pressure fighter. His knockouts, while spectacular, are often an accumulation of thudding blows whereas McClellan just needed to touch you with that right.

Size isn't the issue, Pavlik is comparable to G-Man. It's power and Pavlik just doesn't have enough. I agree (how could you not) that Jackson's chin wasn't great but he usually compensated for it with his right hand. Against Pavlik, who has leaky defense as well, I see Jackson landing the right hand before Pavlik's pressure gets to him.

This is exactly like the hearns Kessler thread Boo, I just want to repeat I am not saying Jackson OR hearns would lose but KO first round is not a legitimate answere as most will imply about these fights.

I'm not going to spend a lot of time on a fight that can never happen. However, the way I see it, Jackson would have to close the show in the first 4 rounds. If he let Kelly get his mojo working, he'd be done for inside 8 rounds.
