Pavlik just pulled out of fight

If that was the case, he'd know this fight is worth more than $1m.

He said he's not fighting for peanuts, which leads me to believe he's getting a final and total $1m100k.

If thats indeed true, it's nasty of interbox and Arum (who knows this business, and knows what kinds of money this fight generates on Pavliks name alone in Can.)

Pavlik, is on the fast track to nowhere though, and many believe he's not of relevance anymore, so bring on Bute-Johnson. :happy

 

why each side said it was almost done deal for weeks now, if the money is not right from the beginning??? I dont buy it one cent.

1.1M seems quite low and I can understand Pavlik being disgruntled.

What I dont understand is why he isnt going ahead with the Cunningham fight? He could just pick up the purse and continue negotiations for Bute.

I wonder if there's something else behind this mess. Something we havent heard yet.

 

True, maybe they found Pavlik drunken ass under a bridge and decided to call timeout (jack loew).

But then again, its also likely Pavlik woke up to the fact that this fight will total $10m and upwards, and he brought out his calculator and things just didn't add up.

 

Pavlik hasn't won a meaningful fight in about 4 years and is fresh out of rehab. Ridiculous that he thinks he's worth so much.

Then why pull out of this fight on Saturday? Complete scumbag move and I'm sure 1.1 is a lot more then anyone else is willing to pay him. And I doubt Bute is making 9 mil but if he is then it is a scumbag move and def low balling but that still has nothing to do with the fight coming up on Saturday. How does he figure this is gonna help his career in anyway by pulling out of a fight less then a week before for no other reason the the money wasnt right for his NEXT fight?

 

It looks like he thinks he's bigger than Showtime or even boxing all together. So sad. Bring on the Road Warrior...real sad...
