"I was impressed with Abraham," Kessler said. "He let Taylor come at him for a couple of rounds and then just went after him. And he sure can hit hard."

We aren't that far apart here. I could have used "demons" instead of ghosts, I wasn't referring to Pavlik in this case.

What I am saying is he had no confidence that he could avoid or deal with that "mule punch" with his boxing skills. He was fighting scared, not confident. I think that is part of being 'shot' in his case. You have to go in confident that you have the tools to do what you need to do. I don't think Taylor did.

My bad, I got you. I just don't think he would have beat AA at any point in his career. As i said before he couldn't beat Winky, the High guard gave him problems in his "prime" and AA's b/c of the power that comes along with it would have in his "prime" given him a harder puzzle to solve.

Well, he had less trouble making 160 than AA did, so that might have given him more of an advantage at that weight, but I understand what you are saying. Boo has said repeatedly that JT doesn't have the highest of boxing IQ's.

Froch and Abraham are scheduled to fight aren't they? You think the Brits will complain about the high guard in the same way they complained about Dirrell's "running" and being "negative"? I was flattered that the Showtime guys called AA's tactics a form of Rope-a-dope. They been reading my comments here.

i believe froch and aa are in the 3rd round?? there won't be any room to complain b/c if froch fights against aa like he did against dirrell, his head won't be on his shoulders at the end of the night. froch at one point was walking at dirrell w/ his arms down at his side almost straight down and he would rock his left arm by his waist twice before flicking his jab out there, slowly for the most part. its like he was begging for someone to time him when he was about to flick his left jab out there. aa will take his head off if he does that.

Boo is right in that sense, he doesn't.

AA will hurt Froch. Forget what the Brits think. AA's defence is awesome, especially when he doesn't struggle to make weight.

    You admire AA's defence?

    Tom Tocca where you at??

I dislike any defense that greatly ******s the use of offense. I've seen him lay in that damned pose and wave his opponent to come in. WTF? What if you had two 'fighters' doing that? I'd go out throw one punch and stand back, win round, repeat. I suppose you can do that as champ where you have something someone else wants, but now?

Tom, of all people, was banned! WTF? None of us have figured it out.

Kessler said Taylor could have won if he had been busier with the right hand. Before I ever read that I said JT had many, many opportunities to step over and throw the right hand. The response to Kessler's statements and my own taught me a lot about Abraham's fans. Those guys just went on and on about how you can't hit AA with straight rights. Kessler did not say straight rights, and neither did I. Guess those guys don't know there's more than one way to throw a right hand.

Pavlike may KO Williams I am not sure if he will though. In any case the reason why Pavlik is fighting Williams in the first place is because Arum refused to risk him with AA because ultimately AA KO Pavlik = a lot of money out of Arums wallet. Pavlike is ultimately a pawn on the chess board that is Arums greedy empire of making money on people who put ther body through hell for him.
