I wouldn't class myself as a hater..... but do feel his stint as champion was pretty poor, plus his fans are a bit one-eyed for my liking - when he beat Taylor the first time I'd just started reading the General and there were ''Pavlik is the best ever'' threads all over the bloody place.

I also like Martinez, he deserved some good fortune after the shocker against Cintron and being on the wrong end of a close decision against Williams.

Hopefully Martinez vs Williams II is next :yep

Pavlik fans did go overboard about him - the flaws he had were very obvious, but he looked so destructive against Lockett - which is where many Pavlik fans got over-excited. On here, tons of people were saying 'that's what'll happen to Calfagghi is he steps in the ring with him. LOLZ - hez duckin!'

But, the reality was that anyone who could move would give Pavlik problems. Martinez impressed me last night because he got figured out and still found a way to win. He didn't stand and trade, and he didn't allow Pavlik the space he needed after the eye got cut.

Let's not take away from Martinez's excellent performance.

Well, according to Pavlik's cutman (http://sports.espn.go.com/sports/boxing/columns/story?columnist=rafael_dan&id=5107479), KP won't be fighting any time soon as he's going to need a shitload of stitches. Should Williams beat Cintron, Martinez-Williams II is probably a good bet:yep:good. Thank Christ that Pavlik's God awful 'reign' has finally come to an end; this must be what the Ewoks felt like at the end of Star Wars:happy.

I've not seen the fight yet, hopefully it will be uploaded soon....

I don't think he's making 160 again, it was a strange sight to see his team partying after he made the weight at the first go.

Whether trying to make 160 for too long will have an adverse effect (ala Alex Arthur ) who knows?

I think Williams will break Cintron and get rid of him in about 7 or 8 - as Martinez did - and hopefully the rematch will be made.... preferably without an insane judge :-(
